It's the martyrdom part that's the how-you-say "deal breaker" for me. I don't know how they're deciding who lives and who dies now that the stakes have been raised, and I'm not eager to find out the hard way.

Yeah. 9_9 Heibon-kun posted the plotbunny that prompted this post in the "Crossovers That Should Not Be" thread of one of his favorite message boards, and got two actual replies. One pointed out that the Tristainians would put clothing on me even if the local climate didn't prompt me to get dressed. "And that's as far as my mind goes before hitting the NOPE! barrier and going into and unrecoverable stall due to compressibility issues."

The other said the concept "makes more and more sense as I think on it. ZnT's already a harem comedy- why not take it one step further?" (Only because we're not sure a me who's just been yanked from near the end of the movie is ready to go that far.)

I'm not sure who's got it more difficult some days. You guys are basically AU/OC's since your puppetmaster doesn't actually know Japanese, but I've got so many different canons that are all in English and my chump mun just tries to mash a bunch of em together.

Still we have our fun so I guess that counts for something.

Sounds to me like we've got it easier. He found a subtitled version a while back, and he tries to stay faithful to it.

[What can I say? I'm better at world-building when I have other people's work to reassemble. And even before the subtitled version went up, I speak just enough Japanese to make myself misunderstood, and I can read it well enough that I made some lucky guesses.]

But still, you're right; we all have our fun. You've got yours, I've got mine, Pippi's got hers, [hug] and heibon-kun's got his.

Something like that, Molossia-kun. Most of the things I escape from, I only escape because he doesn't have the energy to throw me into them. And sometimes he comes back to them later. I have a sinking feeling that's what'll happen with the Zero no Tsukaima plotbunny. I just hope he doesn't get the energy to finish my app for The Games.

Yeah. Sometimes you're glad they didn't, and sometimes you wish they had. And other times they do, and either you're glad they did or you wish they hadn't. I don't know which kind of gladness is better, all in all, or which kind of regret is worse. I'm not sure it matters, either; overthinking things is his special skill, not mine.

I'd say they're usually right. At least if you've done it and regretted it, you hopefully know better than to do it again. Of course, that still doesn't answer the question of how you'd rather regret what other people did or didn't do.
