If you absolutely insist on doing this, it might be beneficial for you to at least make more icons first. I don't think five is going to cut it.

I don't think so, I think if he was, then Kaiba-kun would have said something to me by now. I've been there for almost two months, after all. I mean, once I mentioned Duel Monsters and had been showing some of the others my deck, one of them told me that someone who played had been there, but it had been someone named Johan.

[There's a pause as he looks up at the other.]

Mou Hitori no Boku, if you don't want me to call you that, then I won't. I will always be willing to share my name and my memories with you, but you deserve to be your own person too.

Hmm. That's not a familiar name. Still, it means that perhaps one of your friends will be there with you soon, if others from your world have been there before. I don't know if it's something necessarily to hope for, but still.

[He still doesn't really want to look at Yuugi. Atem had told Yuugi something similar, after the Ceremonial Duel. Neither of them really knew how to be just themselves without the other, it seemed. That made it all the worse.]

I am my own person, regardless of what you call me. As such, you can call me whatever you'd like. If you wish to continue to call me 'Mou Hitori no Boku,' as you have done up 'til now, than you may.

Our world, Mou Hitori no Boku. You live there too, remember?

[Nudging slightly. Yes, he realizes he's using the present tense, but he doesn't care. Even if they do end up separated, Yuugi isn't going to deny that the other even existed.]

[His face scrunches up in a pout.]

That's not what I asked, Mou Hitori no Boku, what do you want to be called?

Yes, but- [He sighs.] That was a very long time ago.

[Now he's starting to get irritated a bit.] I don't know. Nothing truly seems right, or seems to fit. So, please, just call me Mou Hitori no Boku. It's... familiar.

[Yuugi's silent for a moment, before he looks up at the other.]

Mou Hitori no Boku, even when we're separated, we're still together. [He gives a smile and places a hand over his heart.] Right here. You'll still be with me and I'll still be with you. Maybe not physically, but in our hearts.

[He pauses, his lips turning down slightly in a frown as he nods.] All right.

[For the first time, Atem almost wants to scream at Yuugi. He wants to yell at him and tell him that they weren't going to simply be separated, Atem is dead, and Yuugi was going to go on living and, in retrospect, Atem was only a fleeting moment in his life. And now that Atem had been apart from Yuugi, he could honestly say that it felt wrong, but what was the point in saying that now? Nothing could be changed, and this Yuugi had no idea what was to come and what it would mean, so all Atem says is:]

Yes, you're right.

[He sighs, and then tries to crack a smile.] So, have you at least made new friends in the place you're in?

[He nods enthusiastically.]

Utena is really nice. And I met a couple of others too. It's not the same as having you or the others there, but I'm managing. I've been trying to find a job, but...

[He trails off with a shrug.]

What about you, Mou Hitori no Boku? Is your mun going to place you somewhere?

[He flinches.] My mundane just screamed in my ear. She seems delighted about this Utena person. [His eyes roll.] I'm glad to hear you're doing well. You're smart and a hard worker. I'm sure you won't have trouble finding a job.

She seems to have an idea to do so. She keeps mentioning a canon-review and something about a campaign, but I'm not too clear on the details.

Utena's one of the first ones I met, actually. She's the one that gave me a lot of information about where I woke up.

Well, see... part of the problem is that I'm not native. There's a few places that are friendly to those that come through the door, but...

I'll find one, I know I will. I'll just have to watch my ivories until I do.

I don't think the muns ever tell us the details. I found out what she was planning until she had already put her plan into motion.

Somehow I suspect my situation will be much the same. She seems to want to keep me out in the dark.

I think that they get some sort of pleasure or something out of doing that. I don't understand it myself.

They're rather frightening, I must admit. Is it normal for them to fantasize excessively about your death?

I don't know. Mine isn't planning on killing me anytime soon. [Pause] At least, I don't think she is. I know that she's all about the "angst" though.

Mine has a particularly disturbing fascination with the thought of me getting my throat slit. She plays out the scenario in her head at least once a day.

[Have a rapid blinking of wide eyes. Because he's not sure what he's supposed to say to that. Except now he's picturing it and he really wishes he could stop thinking about that because it's Mou Hitori no Boku.]

But- but why?

I'm not entirely sure. I don't think she intends to actually do it, but the fact that it's there in her head is concerning enough.

If she does, I won't let her do it!

[Determined Yuugi is determined. And protective.]

[He smiles a bit.] You'll continue to look out for me, even if we're not in the same game together?

[Gives the other a 'duh' look.]

Seriously, Mou Hitori no Boku, even if we aren't together, even when you're no longer 'my other', you're still one of my best friends. Have you ever known me to just abandon a friend?

[He'll sacrifice himself for them though. Which is kind of how he ended up in his game. Whoops.]

No, never. You're the best friend anyone could ever ask for. Kind, giving, loyal...
