Voice testing a new muse | Canon is Dark Souls
Quelaag? No you are not Quelaag. Where am I? Where is my dear sister?
((OOC: Decided to take this blind spider-lady for a spin. Maybe even draw out some other folks who play Dark Souls))

Funny story- someone once told him he'd get along with Quelaag.
I cannot reveal to you where your sister is, dear lady, but please feel no distress from her absence. Mighty Ai Apaec shall keep you company, until she can be found.
[Of course, he has a voice like sandpaper but there's no dishonesty.]
Never heard of the character before myself.
Oh, thank you. That's very kind of you.
Although I find it strange that I can understand everyone now when I could not before. I think it must be because of the person who brought me here.
He's exceptionally obscure. Big dumb god with a spider for a butt.
[He on the other hand has an over abundance of extra eyes, what with a head covered in snakes and the eyes on his spider body. So, he casually examines in great detail.]
I suppose given the mythology of the game my spider lady is a god/demigod
[As the title of The Fair Lady would suggest her skin was very fair and she looked almost frail. Certainly in contrast to the man.]
Spider gods and goddesses unite.
You carry the blood of gods then... Though you seem delicate, there is divinity in your appearance nonetheless.

Dear girl, will you allow me to take your hands for a moment?
[So he can let her 'see' what he himself looks like.]

[She offers her hands out to him.]

Carefully he puts her hands on his shoulders first, then down over his chest. Human shaped until his waist, where there is suddenly coarse hairs, those of a tarantula. Down a bit more, to the top of his pedipalps and then to his fangs, going over their smoothness without introducing her to the sharp tip. Back once more, to the top of his first set of legs- he can't show her those further back without pulling them chest to chest and so stops there for now.]
I've eight of those to walk upon.

You are like me?
[The surprise would be tinged with sadness. She didn't say anything yet, but she obviously looked troubled.]

[He keeps hold of her wrists, going back up to reach his face. Strong features, with a square jaw and masculine cheekbones. Though with four huge fangs that protruded over his lips.]
But something troubles you. Do you not think yourself beautiful, dear one?
no subject
[She smiles sadly.]
That isn't what was bothering me. At first I... thought our similarities were due to my mistakes and you would be upset at me for such a change, but if you are a proud person of your race then I have nothing to be bothered by.

[Deciding to keep her learning his shape, he guides her hands up more, first over the jewellery attached to his nose and forehead, then to his hair. Quite silken and long, it gives way to the feeling of scales when he introduces her to some of the snakes attached to his scalp, which playfully touch her skin with flicks of their tongues.]
I am the only of my kind that bares this form, but I am proud regardless. Ai Apaec is as he is. You are the first I've seen so similar in my eternal life- if it is your natural shape or not does not matter to me. Only that your visage brings me joy does.

I am glad I can bring you some happiness then. I must admit I do find comfort in the fact Quelaag and I aren't the only ones who look like this even if you are not from Lordran.
no subject
Will you tell me how you came to have such a body, dear girl?
no subject
I guess I can. It may be a little bit of a long story as you are not from Lordran.
In the beginning of the world there were Arch tress and eternal dragons. It was a time of inactivity. Then came the first flame. Within the flame came disparity. Life, and Death, Light and Dark. Within the flame four special souls were found. My mother found one of those souls. The three gods faced against the dragons in combat bringing the age of fire.
Many years ago however the first flame started to fade. My mother, my sisters and I tried to recreate the first flame in an attempt to keep the age of fire going for longer, but it went out of control. Quelaag and myself avoided the worst of it. We were only partially changed in the resulting chaos.

A tragic tale... To bring life to the world, there is always death and destruction. The eternal cycle continues, despite the best intentions of beautiful hearts.

It was all we could try to do. I just wish our fires had been enough.
A lot of bad things could of been avoided had we succeeded.

I will not ask you not to feel guilt. That is a matter for your heart and your heart alone.
[Speaking of which, he reaches out to place a single finger right above her heart.]
But know that Ai Apaec respects your will to act despite the risk and adores you as you are, beloved girl.
[He's a savage of a simpler time- he gets right to the point.]

Thank you. I know you meant it, but all the same it was very sweet of you to say.
no subject
I am as I am, and say as I wish. That it pleases you pleases me too.
no subject
If nothing else I'm glad I met you because I was brought here. I will have to tell Quelaag about meeting such a kind friend.

An honour to have the regard of a woman of such great beauty and gentility.

O-oh my. I'm afraid I don't know where your sister is, my lady.
I cannot deny that you look familiar, however. Are you not from Drangleic?
