Mundane, please calm down. Take deep breaths, in through your nose and out through your mouth. Fetch yourself some hot tea, or perhaps cold water, if that's more calming for you. Relax. Once you're feeling more rational, we can continue.
Good. Now, let me address your worries. I'm afraid I haven't done enough research to know the specifics, but I highly doubt that any other mundane will shun you due to my species.
[She delicately adjusts her glasses before continuing.]
Yes, I'm aware that others with your preferences have been... rather more lascivious in their dealings, and that it could play a part in how others might view you. However, you know that you are not that sort of person, and that confidence will surely persuade others. That is not what's holding you back; only you are, and only you can change that.

[okay no she's not saying it in that phrasing, even ironically. MUN YOU'RE WEIRD.]
...persecution, perhaps. An unscientific theory, and unfortunately, one without proof. I hardly think that a neutral response can be considered as discrimination, hm?

Ha ha, even me! Me, Gene Starwind, who should be a hit with any lady.
I wouldn't worry, you're pretty cute!

Now, regarding the conversation we were having, I'm fully aware that a simple lack of response is the most likely explanation. However, the issue here isn't with that, but with the anxiety my mundane suffers from. She seems to be... rather scared of replying to others, for much the same reasons she fears putting her muses up at all; the fear that the person behind the curtain, so to speak, thinks ill of her.

[Gene thinks on that for a moment, crossing his arms and turning his head skyward.]
Well, I suppose it's just a matter of slogging on through it, you know? Back when I was first strutting around Sentinel III, I used to be hyper-sensitive about what people thought of me. Then I realized that life was too short to think about all that. The people who like me, like me, and the people who don't aren't even worth thinking about.

Still, I hope that over time, and perhaps with some successful "bites," as you put it... she can take that advice to heart.
