My mundane tells me that an overwhelming majority of "muses," especially in "bakerstreet," wherever that may be, are human. It's exceedingly rare to find one that is more animal, such as I. The exact reasons are unknown, but my mundane is wary of...

Nah, I doubt that. Worst that can happy is that you don't get anyone biting the hook, but anyone runs that risk. Really, a lot of people end up on those things for days without any fish on the hook.

Now, regarding the conversation we were having, I'm fully aware that a simple lack of response is the most likely explanation. However, the issue here isn't with that, but with the anxiety my mundane suffers from. She seems to be... rather scared of replying to others, for much the same reasons she fears putting her muses up at all; the fear that the person behind the curtain, so to speak, thinks ill of her.
