[There's chittering, shrieking and moaning from the army of among the most grotesque creatures that defy logic, lurking in the shadows. They all are anticipating to be let loose and do their worst to any poor person that comes into their line of sight.]

[Well, at least the only headaches she will endure is one her player will allow. That knowledge is some comfort.]

Malcolm looks bored as he holds his bow loosely in one hand. His voice is cool as ice. "Yeah well I've seen much scarier then you....so bring it on you fugly bitch."

Oh? And who would you be?

[Every single Horror, Zombie, Vampire, Bonethief, Lesser Guardian...even the levitating Black Guardian and Trappers are all standing at attention. (Half of them don't even have heads, and the Trappers have no eyes--but they all could still see and sense the creature, whatever she is.)]

Would your Little One Mundane like to join ours?

We would welcome the company. [Xelly is secretly wondering what your Sanity would taste like.]

[Names. Yes. Names have power. And the ability to name oneself is a sign of intelligence and capability. Far too many of their kind is full of so much raw power or broken attention that they do not have the presence of mind to be able to give themselves names.]

I am Yg'baladoth, the Lingering Murmur. [She added a bow. Civility costs nothing, after all.]

And as for your invitation, my player permits me to tell you that any invitations will need to be respectfully declined. My player does know of you, after all.

A very amused cackle cames from the very huge eel-like being that hovered without any wings. Her single eye is far larger than Malcolm's own body length.

Did he truly believe his arrow would harm her?

"We're amused of how boldly you decide to challenge us," Xel'lotath spoke, lacking a mouth, yet still her voice could be heard. Her magic was very strange and complicated for the minds of Little Ones to understand.

All her creatures, the entire army of them, were all facing his direction.

"He wishes to play. To the death," mused her second voice.

"Would he be able to hold his own against all our creations?," Xel'lotath asked her whispery voice.

"Let's find out."

Lingering...Murmur... [How interesting. They've never heard of one of those before.]

A shame about your player, yet we are curious to know more about you.

[Silently, Xel'lotath sends the mental command to stand down. They're free to go terrorize someone else, actually! By all means, she encourages that.]

[Yg'baladoth watches the creatures go. She wonders if they are of this... Xel'lotath, or if Xel'lotath created them, or if they were independent creatures which Xel'lotath subdued. In the end, she supposed it does not matter.]

My domain in the chaos of sound. I was born when Xul’gaborah, the Queen of Screams, was destroyed by The Eye of Fate's Wheel.

[She stopped there, looking at the great mighty one before her. If those words meant anything to Xel'lotath, then she would respond knowingly. Or not. Great Old Ones are never known for their consistency.]

One of Malcolm's names is an apt one. He has always been as crafty as Gabriel and then some, though his brother would actually call him suicidal. He tilts his head and grins. "Bring it on kiddos," he says calmly, "I've taken down humans who are scary then you." He spreads his arms. "First shot is free."

[If Yg'baladoth asks about them, Xel'lotath wouldn't mind discussing about her creations...

This enormous eely goddess listens in interest as she says a little about herself.]

Seems she has been around as long as we have.

As you dwell in the Chaos of Sound, we represent Insanity. Plain, and simple...

Descendent of Xul'gaborah, what do you believe drives your existence?

[Upon hearing about this Queen of Screams, Xel'lotath ponders if she's a relative, in some other universe perhaps. She may be childish and incredibly mentally unstable, but she is also quite perceptive, and sharp. Having a psychic mind to use at will does that with this Ancient.]

[Yg'baladoth nodded at the first statement. Though she was "born" of Xul'gaborah, she had been a part of her as long as she had been alive. So, in a way, she was as "old" as her "mother." There was a bit of pedigree there, which she took some pride in.]

Isanity. Yes. Corruption. A powerful and unstable force that seeks to unravel all to befit their image.

[Oops, she said that out loud. Though. She doesn't see that as insulting? Yg'baladoth had a strong desire for understanding, as difficult as Old Ones were to classify. She also supposes that rousing this one's anger would not matter. When their kind get this powerful they can choose to destroy or corrupt at a whim and there was little Yg'baladoth could do about it. She kept her "back door" ever at the ready in case she needed to flee.]

[She considers the question. Though she knew the answer, these moments of contemplation are good reminders of her own mission, and the little old one appreciated these moments of reflection.]

I seek to answer the riddle: "what is order and why does it persist?"

At his response, her laughter echoed louder. If Malcolm remembered any of the stories about this nemesis that's dwelled within the Nexus for years, then he would know how terrible and evil they really were. How all Xel'lotath's creations would gradually drain away one's sanity. How much faster the Ancient herself would.

"Such a fool," Xel'lotath amused in her first voice. "Very well then."

"Enjoy..."

There had to be at least a hundred of these creatures, all heading for the archer who showed no fear. The Vampires cloaked themselves. The Bonethieves were sprinting directly towards Malcolm as the zombies were shambling forward, mewling in hunger to taste his flesh. The Gate Guardians went in the same pace as them. The Horrors bellowed in eagerness and stomped at an even slower pace, causing the ground to tremor with each step they made.

The Lesser Guardians became flying green orbs and began scattered. The big Black Guardian mean levitated and waited patiently until it was its turn to deal with Malcolm--if he managed to kill the rest. It knew his arrows would not be able to harm it.

Last but certainly not least, the Trappers just crab-walked around at their own pace. They'd chitter in alarm and flash colors on their oddly pigmented green skin before aiming any of their scorpion-like tails at Malcolm to send him to the Trapper Dimension.

[Xelly doesn't seem a bit insulted. In fact, she would take that as a compliment! She's not easily insulted at all, really. Most insults don't anger her at all. Unless they had power to back up their words, than that's all they were; just words.]

Quite true...

And that very riddle is something that we seek to unravel as well.

Somehow I do not think our goals are the same.

[Actually, she knows it. If anything, her powers and disposition fits Ulyaoth's methods the most. She knows her presence can corrupt this realm of existence. Yet she chooses to diminish the effect of her being so she can make observations of order without affecting it.]

And when you corrupt all to your desires, what is it you will do, oh great Xel'lotath?

[Oh, Ulyaoth. Xel'lotath loathes both of her brothers. They'd simply meddle into her affairs. Hmph. Let them stay sealed in their cosmic prisons, bound by Mantorok who slowly weakens in the Cambodian temple, for all she cares...]

[Xel'lotath chuckles softly, despite her lack of a mouth.]

We've only thought as far ahead as to feasting on the Little Ones' very life forces.

After that, we may travel to seek for more to corrupt. [It seems to be the only sensible thing she'd ever want to do.]

[How very interesting. Xelly's curious as well as highly amused as she mentally commands all her creations to just be on standby. Hundreds of various creatures, half of them lacking heads, are just idling for the moment.]

We sense that you are not quite Human, yet, you appear as one.

Were you of their kind first? Our most loyal, Pious, was once a man.

Also, must we add, we are not quite from the same universe as them. [Smiling with just her eye, for she doesn't have a mouth.]

[She frowns. This is why she doesn't like talking to these types of eldritch. They have no vision for what lies beyond their actions. They did what they will do in the future. In Yg'baladoth's judgement Xel'lotath is just as imprisoned in mundanity as a mindless husk.]

[Blissfully unaware, Xel'lotath is very much a contradiction in a number of ways. Her completely irrational appearance is just one. Her intelligence being used to squander on simply terrorize and destroy is another. Yet, they can't complain! They're simply content the way they are. The same game, yes, but the different strategies to come up with the same result.

Xel'lotath mind must be damaged to see beyond that to even consider on doing bigger, more vile schemes.]

Yes, of course. Do not take my words as worthy considerations for your actions, Xel'lotath of Insanity.

As we are of different realms, our purpose and designs will always be different though they may converge on occasion.

Yet I may not also contemplate other paths and consider whether I too may choose to partake. Though I am older than most, I too am very young. I may enjoy the burden of choice were I to wish to so.

Malcom put the bow down by his feet and began drawing in the air, first he drew a circle followed by a upside down T, next he drew an incomplete table and finally he drew a cup with a line inside and then a line covering it. This last one glowed red for one second before a series of orbs surrounded him. He grins and tilts his head. "I should have mentioned something before I started taunting you....my name....my actual name is Robert Dean Gabriel Winchester and you pissed off my big brother...so excuse me if I used some magic to kick your sorry butt into next week."

Do you travel between realms often?

[To Xel'lotath, it doesn't matter who's in control of their engaging discussion. Just as long as it stays interesting. That's all she would care about.

She doesn't often make acquaintances with any kind similar to herself, especially since the day when she first roamed The Nexus.]

Xel'lotath felt so highly amused of this human. She did not fear him, nor did she fear anything else for that matter. "Oh... A Winchester. If it's not the Roivas family and their allies it's them."

The Ancient laughed in mad glee, looking forward to the show that was starting.

The Black Guardian knew there was only one type of magic to defeat it, so it hovered in midair and watched, content. The Lesser Guardians had already begun to chant spells to set up their shields, or summon a few more zombies. The Bonethieves hissed as one of them began to leap forward, wanting to claw its way inside Malcolm's body, and take over. (The Bonethieves were parasites.) The Gate Guardians shed off their dark magical green mist. If Malcolm didn't have any magic that would ward off its effects, then he would gradually slip into madness.

[Yg'baladoth doesn't really consider this an acquaintanceship. She's fairly sure she's gained this being of insanity's attention for the moment and does not look forward to what would happen when her interest disappears.]

This realm is my second.

[She wishes she could say she's traveled more, and this question wounds her pride a little.]

Though I find it suitable for the moment. There are many people from many realms converging in this one. I have many samples of many realms to observe from here.
