I guess I don't see a point in it without some sort of end goal.

Maybe I'm just not creative enough to come up with some other way to act other than being myself in a game.

However, do you not see it as a wasted opportunity? In the game world, you can do many things that you could not do in real life.

I already do a lot of that. That's one of the funnest parts of playing a game. Where else can you spend all day fighting in a dungeon and then unwind with some fishing?

Roleplaying is the same thing. You get the chance to be someone you aren't normally.

There's this thing called fun. Maybe you've heard of it.

Plus not everyone enjoys going to the ridiculous lengths needed to get those rare drops, and I say this as a former City Of Heroes avatar.

So a little trouble is just like an adventure. Besides, it's way more fun than typing on a computer all day or whatever our muns do.
