oh so very enabled what is canon reviewing even homeless forever probably. [voicetest]
Flattering, but droll at best. If your goal is to tame the Dragon of Earth, perhaps you should at least know what you're dealing with.
Need I remind you?
I am Kamui.
Need I remind you?
I am Kamui.
It's hard to listen when you're being impaled by all manner of implements, sharp or not :V
While he lays there, he considers that maybe, just maybe, these conversations would progress beyond these tight little circles if he'd just make one small concession and call Fuuma 'Kamui'. Or at least refrain from using his name at all.]
So without hesitation ... you'll kill me on the destined day.
Maybe he just needs to try harder.
Naturally. But it won't be any fun if you don't try to kill me back, now will it?
[Foot. Forearm. On purpose. Still a thing that's happening.]
this is not a skill he was taught in school, and I have no other icons for this situation. somehow.
[Maybe that's why Fuuma is never going to oblige.]
Time for the school of hard knocks, then.
[He seems to get the message of Kamui's
love tapbody-check and backs off, but actually he's just re-positioning his footing before he drops all of his weight on a knee right into the small of Kamui's back.]And until you figure out what that is, you'll never be able to defeat me.

[He pauses to just appreciate breathing. Breathing is such a great thing. He likes breathing.] What - what does all this accomplish? Do you think if you - if you throw me into enough walls I'll just hate you? If you kill enough people you will be irredeemable? [You already killed Kotori, you ass, but you'd have to work hard to top that.]

[Breathing? Great? Yeah, it probably is. Too bad that might get harder as this guy puts a hand between Kamui's shoulderblades and leans his weight into it. Sternum, meet pavement.]
Are you truly asking me why I'm doing this to you? If you really want to know-- [He leans over to whisper in Kamui's ear.] --it's because. I was born to.

Fuuma needs to lose weight. Kamui contemplates saying this for an insane moment, wondering what Fuuma would do if he did. Instead, at a whisper to keep from losing too much air:] That's just an excuse. Why do you want to do this? ['Want' comes out more of a groan than a word.]
no subject
Wanting doesn't really have anything to do with it. After all, you claim to not want to kill me. [He leans with added pressure for emphasis.] You don't want this at all now, do you, Kamui? [The name in and of itself is meant to add meaning.] Yet, here we are. It's simply destiny.
[He suddenly lets up the pressure on Kamui's back, only to pull him up by the shoulder (not too far since his knee is still pressed into Kamui's spine, and he doesn't want to break the poor kid's back now, honestly), and briefly chide into his ear--] Don't think about it too hard. [--before slamming Kamui's front back into the ground.]
Besides. It's fun.
Kamui is being a glutton for punishment. honestly, boy, just play dead.
[He doesn't get to finish the sentence before Fuuma drags him up only to slam him back into the pavement, where his chest, nose, eye socket, and mouth take the brunt of the force, and blood just seems to pour out of his nose and gums. He cradles his face with his hands, head spinning, and doesn't catch Fuuma's last words. He slurs out, spitting blood:] Tha's not destiny, tha's you. You can' blame choices on des'iny. [Ow. so much ow.]
still making upset gurgling noises at Kamui's crushed face MY BAD
[He relents the pressure on Kamui's back, confident that his pain will keep him occupied as the Dragon of Earth circles his body to squat in front of him. He grabs Kamui's chin to force eye-contact, a trickle of blood running over his fingers.]
What about you then, hm, Kamui? Dragon of Heaven or Dragon of Earth, you were always destined to choose a side. Is that honestly a choice, in the end? Or will you concede to being as much a slave to fate as the rest of us?
SORRY
SHORT TAG GOMEN
Then why didn't you just not choose?
NO THIS IS PERFECT
HAHAHA
[He clucks his tongue, lifting his hand from Kamui's chin and using the back of his fingers to brush the hair out of Kamui's eyes, leaving a smear of blood across his forehead behind them.]
And that worked out so well for you, didn't it.
Ow this hurts so good
I'm so sorry, Fuuma ...
[of course, he has no way of knowing if that would have actually helped at all, what with Fuuma already starting to act weird at that point.]
[1/2] Mmmm delicious angst.
[His hand finishes its path across Kamui's forehead and drops down to cup his cheek. His other hand comes up to do the same, and his expression softens as he looks straight at Kamui. His eyes are soft. Concerned. Gentle. Purposefully reminiscent of the Fuuma Kamui holds in his memories.]
Kamui...
[2/2]
That's not my name.
walked into that one, Kamui
He throws himself backwards a little too late to avoid Fuuma's grip around his neck, though.] Ghhkh!
