I grew up in the new order created by this man. I served as a senator in the Imperial Senate. The Rebellion is there to put a stop to him and bring back justice to the galaxy.

All those things are corrupt, but I doubt they're as simple as you're making them out to be. I've seen enough Separatist propaganda broadcasts to know that they'll frame any collateral damage as genocide if it means drumming up support for their insurrection. Even if they're the ones who started the conflict that lead to the deaths.

Besides, re-branding a Republic as an Empire isn't the same thing as destroying it. You said yourself that you served as a senator.

Yes. I did. Our power was limited to the point where we could do nothing, but I suppose if only figureheads matter then yes we were there. Until the Senate was shut down of course. But I'm sure you'd find a work around for that as well.
