I know that was a pretty rough thing to go through. We got through it as a team. And they got the people. Gabby is okay, which is important. Shay, she's stubborn and will be good as well. Stop worrying so much, these are my people. That's my job.

How is yours screwing around with you?

Apparently I have the same face as some spy or something. She doesn't understand that I just want to live a normal life after everything I've been through.

[youjumpin]

Yeah mine laughs because I share a face with a paramedic, and a werewolf.

I think she's afraid I'm too boring for people to play with because I don't do something cool or have superpowers like that. I really don't care. I just want to sit at home with my pizza and TV. Does that make me boring?

[youjumpin]

Makes you normal in my book. Hell no superheroes or spies in my world. Just putting out fires.

That's a really brave thing for you to do, though. I don't know if I'd have that kind of courage. I'm happy when I get through the day without needing a fix.

[youjumpin]

I have that struggle too at times. Pain killers.

That was my drug of choice too. Oxycontin mostly.

[youjumpin]

Yeah went that route, or anything I could get. I had a back injury and I was working through the pain.

I wish I had some actual reason for doing it. I just had a boyfriend that got me hooked.

Are you doing all right now?

[youjumpin]

Yeah been clean for awhile now. Going on a little over a year.

But sometimes I want it when my body is in pain.

Five years, for me. But it's still tough on really bad days, because I work at a hospital and I'm surrounded by the stuff.

[A small smile.] Sorry if I'm prying. I just haven't met anybody who's had the same problem I did, except for my friend Jesse.

You aren't prying, no worries.

Sure, don't know if that will ever come into play but i consider it a standing invite. I'm a Chicago boy born and raised.

Something else we have in common, we stay close to home. How's Chicago? I've never been.

Chicago is a great city actually. I love it here but hey I am biased.

Well, maybe I'll come visit sometime. Getting out of New Jersey is starting to look a little appealing.

Yeah, got a phone call from my ex today. The one that got me hooked on the pills. And haven't seen my roommate around to tell me not to freak out about it.
