I'm not vain I'm just... O.K., I'm vain

Dear Mun,

Congratulations on finally settling on a— what do you call them? PBs? Whatever the guy in the tiny Muggle pictures is called. But I’m afraid you need to find another one. There are several problems with this one but I will address the most important: He’s simply not sexy enough. I know the Muggle interwebs is not ready for what I really look like. The sight of a man even half as sexy as I would break it. But you can still find a more accurate PB. So take these picture things down and go back to looking for a suitable PB.

Sincerely,
Sirius Black

You're seriously complaining because your mun didn't get little pictures that look like you?
morewidows: ([Fester] He loves you my dear.)

Why do I not have my Remus account here yet?

[personal profile] morewidows 2012-01-04 04:23 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, I wouldn't be so harsh on your mundane, dear. You look quite ravishing as you are.
exloserspromise: (how's it going?)

[personal profile] exloserspromise 2012-01-04 04:24 am (UTC)(link)
A reputation that shallow isn't worth looking out for.
morewidows: (Let us break bread.)

Yes, tomorrow I will transfer so much more. All the Morticia for you, Padfoot :)

[personal profile] morewidows 2012-01-04 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
[She smiles slightly, red lips hidden in shadow, the light only across her eyes.]

Guessing? Are you having issues seeing properly, dear?

And there's always room for improvement, in most cases. It doesn't matter, however, as long as one is confident and contented with one as one is.

[Not many people would think Gomez was the hottest thing on the planet, after all, but Morticia had eyes for him and him alone.

That were still in her head, at least.

What's there to be jealous of? I had my own comic book series and did my part in the war; even when my looks fade I'll have plenty of things to keep my reputation up. Can you say the same?
morewidows: (That's my job.)

[personal profile] morewidows 2012-01-04 04:52 am (UTC)(link)
[Because she reminds him of Bellatrix, perhaps?]

That's very kind of you, dear. My looks are not something I worry over, simply because my husband and I care for each other on a level that surpasses anything related to it.

[She inclines her head, but only just so.]

If you truly believe there is no one to match your exceptional handsome looks, why be surprised you have to, as you say, "settle"?

[ooc. it's okay!]

[Isn't he sweet when he tries to be sweet but isn't really?]

Oh, darling, you could do so much worse. Remember, however, that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. [At least this Sirius isn't PB'd by Ben Barnes, thank God.] If you are not content with the look you have now, do you think you ever will be?

I was essentially dead for nearly seventy years and kids are still dressing up as me every Halloween.

[And the History Channel airs all their Captain America specials on Independence Day, but Steve doesn't think that's relevant.]
exloserspromise: (why would you do that?)

[personal profile] exloserspromise 2012-01-04 05:30 am (UTC)(link)
Well, apparently fighting Nazis and stopping a madman from destroying a significant portion of the United States made me something of a national hero. I don't see it because, like I said earlier, I was just doing my part in the war, but if what I did inspires people even a little bit to stand up for what's right I can't complain.

I'm sorry about what happened to you, though. No one should have to go through that.

Because dressing up as someone or something else is as much a part of Halloween as getting candy and playing pranks! For one night you get to be whoever you want to be, and some kids still want to be me.

Sounds like you still have time to fight it. I don't know much about time travel myself, but if you do everything in your power to fix things, maybe you'll succeed. I'd take that chance every time.

According to my mun, the costumes are to keep evil spirits friendly and the candy is from poor people getting food in exchange for prayers. All I know is the dressing up part is a lot of fun, even for a poor kid who has to get creative.

Focus on that, doing the right thing for your godson. No one can fault you for taking care of someone you love.

[Somebody just isn't thinking creatively enough to fully harness the power of AUs. You can do it, Sirius!]

No, they wouldn't be right, because even if you fail at least you tried in the first place. If they do try to fault you, they're the ones with the problem.
exloserspromise: (idk my bff bucky)

[personal profile] exloserspromise 2012-01-04 07:17 am (UTC)(link)
...Yeah. Even then.

[Maybe looks a little gutted during the obligatory Bucky flashback.]
