Well I do feel for your loss. It would certainly be a blow to me if I lost any of my knowledge of nightmares or abilities to induce them.

Yes. I am a god of nightmares. This isn't any form of gloating on my part, simply a species identifier. I am a god.

I've gone a few names, however Baxter has sufficed so far in these modern times.

You are correct, you would of sensed my presence throughout the world somewhere and the reverse would be true as well.

It wouldn't be an issue however. You survive on far more dreamers than I do from the looks of it. Fighting over territory would be unnecessary even in one of these games unless the population dropped dramatically.

We would also likely find a mutual enemy in this North if you were in my universe as his origins would mean he would be working for the brat.

It is what the other gods call the Abrahamic god. He is one of the youngest yet he tried to squash out his brothers and sisters rather quickly. He tries to say he is just, but his Angels are ruled out of fear for becoming mindless demons.

He is actively trying to kill anything opposing his "holy" word.

However I and my brother are different. We purely need dreamers to survive and a worshiper would only be a side benefit.

Certainly not. In fact you would only have to be honest with your own fears to get close to something that would cause me to feel something. Whether it be fear or other negative emotions.

I have no intention of harming you however. If anything I would use our similarities to both of our benefits.

My ego is not easily bruised. I'm more curious about you than anything. I am not aware of your skill with creating nightmares beyond extracting fear from children.

I would demonstrate my skill for you if I could; I'm rather proud of it. Unfortunately, that isn't possible right now. I would be interested in seeing yours, however.

[And with that he would walk right through Pitch. Pitch had already become wrapped in his own nightmare without the transition being noticeable. Then the area would become a scene of activity. Many different people walking down newly-created paths. Children running and playing. No matter what Pitch did he would have no effect on this world. Even Jack had his ice, but nothing Pitch did would even make even that much of a dent.]

[As soon as it's over, Pitch is livid. He grows to ten times his size, and shadows begin swirling angrily around Baxter, grabbing him and holding him in place. When he speaks, his voice is more of a roar than a shout.]

It's not a matter of mastery, or lack thereof. It's simply not something I'm capable of, just as I'm sure there are things I can do that you can't.

You are right on that part. The fearlings are something beyond what I can make in the physical world. I can't do something like that on that scale. Not yet anyway.
