They ignore the shadow believing that is the way to suppress it, but that's a contradiction. The shadow has not disappeared. No, it's when the shadow is rejected that it finds easier ways to strangle the hearts of humans. More evils have been committed in the name of "virtue" in this world than by men who have embraced decay and destruction.
