Thor and kittens. Let the madness of adorables ensue. :)
[Thor enters, carrying a large, cushioned pet carrier which appears to be mewling. In his other hand is a sack with a plethora of items. He sets the pet carrier down on the floor first, only opening its door when he has removed kitten feed from the sack and filled five puny glass bowls with it. The kittens, black shorthairs all, go for the food immediately, though some attempt to move around their bowls, fending off their food from each other.]
[He seems to consider the fuzzies toddling about on the floor, as he asks a query of his mundane.]
You are sure, mun, that Lokis will be drawn here? This is an odd method, for contacting him.
[The kittens, now done with their meal, are a handful, and Thor has to work to get them all back into the carrier. Some attempt to scale his shirt instead. He lets them do so, as he gets the more energetic ones back into their carrier first.]
I shall hope it works, for it would do well, to have good news in this time.

Is it?
No?
WHY?! .....riiiight..... because Loki may have given Thor this particular idea in one way or another? But... Okay. Yes. He should have expected that. Thor tends to follow through with strange ideas.
So why hasn't he just stayed away and at his library? WHY?!Sorry, Thor. He's not speaking to you. Just sitting there. With his book. Staring and frowning at the same time.
Go away, please?]

[His brother's horrified expression is not what Thor had anticipated, upon the sight of infant felines. As such, Thor looks puzzled and somewhat amused. He is fairly happy when around the kittens, really. The thought of being able to gift a Loki with one, causes Thor's jovial nature to make an appearance, in spite of his recent losses. So he happily calls out to the Loki who is seemingly horrified by tiny fluffy animals.]
Loki! Which version are you, brother?

After several moments of just watching, the book gets set aside and he slowly shakes his head in disbelief.]
I... Had not expected you to actually do this.
[He partly wants to get up and take a closer look at the animals, make sure they are real. But displaying any sort of interest wouldn't do. So he remains right there. Watching.]

In this, you underestimated us both. You should know better.
no subject
Where did you get these?
[And can he let them out? This many kittens sure would cause a decent amount of mischief if left to their own devices...]

[He likes everything that's cute and also spiteful, sure, but he doesn't let on about it, and he'd chose a snake or a hedgehog over a fluffy little lapwarmer. Even if they are... awfully endearing.]

If you do not, that is your choice. [Thor laughs as he answers, sticking his fingers through the bars of the carrier to play with the kittens inside. The older brother is honestly more endeared by canines, particularly large Asgardian ones. But Loki can blame an alt of himself for Thor having gotten this idea instead.]
How do you fare, brother?

[Thor glances up at her cheerily, as he tries to gently, if clumsily, maneuver all of the little fuzzies back into the carrier.] Greetings.

[ALSO.] Were you... overrun by mice?

I am aware I could have asked. I wanted to give gifts. If you should wish for one.

[He sighs, because Thor was clearly trying. And also, because he genuinely does like cats, tiny bundles of mischief that they are. He watches the cat returning to the carrier, trying to avoid looking wistful in the slightest.]
It was... a nice idea, however.

Your alternate suggested it, [Thor responded.] I would see them go only to Lokis who want them, fear not.
What keeps you busy?

[His work for the All-Mother is still a secret, after all, and one he's fairly sure Thor would cause a rather large fuss over if he knew about it. So, time to change the topic.]
Why are you collecting Lokis, anyway?

...mortals who communicate over their corded webbing, worship cats? [Thor's tone is dubious, for he is pretty sure you jest. Stop messing with him, Loki~. He may not know much about mortals yet, but most of them seem to access their linked webbing quite frequently.]
Jane does not appear to worship cats.
no subject
She might favor dogs as I do, you know. Or she could be allergic to feline fur.

[Now to think of it, Darcy had been looking at a cat or two on the connected net of wires, the last time Thor had been to see Jane...]

Still, he can't help but smile and, with a snap of his fingers, let the kittens back out onto the floor.]
I have no doubt this is a good method to contact me, even if I'm not the Loki you seek. I just hope you didn't steal these from someone's home, Thor. Midgard has rules about such things.

[The older brother, having finally gotten the last of the kittens back into their carrying case, looked up at the newly-approaching Loki with a poignant smile. The younger prince looked like hel. Thor had begun to stand, to offer him comfort, when the cage behind the thunderer was suddenly let open. Thor's eyes widened and he tried to rush to gather up all the playful kittens as they stumbled about in search of food or play.]
[He seemed in luck, that one wanted its food bowl right away, and lucky again that another chose to rub against his ankles, instead of bolting away like one of them did. The last two were currently engaged in a mock-brawl on the floor.]
[Racing to re-acquire the running kitten, Thor made it back to the cage with it, as the one who had been snuggling against Thor's ankle, approached Loki curiously.]
You offer adventure, that much is certain, brother. [Both Thor's expression and tone were caught somewhere between annoyed and amused.]
no subject
Adventure? I'm not the one stealing kittens away to lure out people from the multiverse. Though I might steal this kitten from you. My neighbors in my apartment have a daughter who's been explicitly told she can't have a puppy. This is not a puppy.
[And no one is going to refuse a gift from Loki. He smiles at the thought of the child's glee as her parents resign themselves to cat ownership.]
If I was going to use an animal to lure a multitude of Thors out, I think I would use a golden retriever puppy. Or perhaps a hedgehog with a cape.
no subject
[He pauses, thinking as Loki mentions animals to lure Thors out. He tries not to laugh at the image of any pet in a cape.] My mun is laughing, yet I understand not what such creatures are. I know of puppies, and with that I agree. Not everything requires a cape.
But you have an apartment, now? [Thor did know what one was, of course. Jane and Darcy both had one.] I should like to know where I might visit my brother.
[The kitten in Loki's hands had begun to purr and snuggle against him.]

All the icons apparently. Sorry. Thor emotes wildly, when stressed...
Nothing to apologize for. It's Thor, it's in-character.
