Really, lad? No doubt there would be grand adventures in a land off the back of a turtle, and I understand you'd rather get established before that horrid-looking Hercules 3D comes forth and spawns its pale imitations, but consider all you already do. Do you really think you have the time for this?
Ah, well. Whether you persevere or let the notion fade, I appreciate your thinking of me.
Oh, and do keep reading those clever Percy Jackson books, will you? I hear there's plenty of such demigods to be found in that place, not to mention they're well worth reading! That Percy lends luster to Great-Grandfather's name.

[What, you thought the little Vanir was going to get away from the BIGGEST BESTEST HUGS of all time? Man, who were you kidding?]
They like to tell their stories on great flat sheets, but with this maneuver they seek to go from a a flat picture to one that seems as if it's jumping out at you. ...Though I've no idea why the storytellers of this would want me jumping out at people! Apparently I'm most scary, or some such?
no subject
But --!! If there is to a flat picture, then why must there be jumping? Would that not be ineffective to its use? [ OH THE CURIOSITIES. ] Why not have you jump out at them without a flat picture? Much more simple.
no subject
Simpler, but far more expensive- and that's assuming I woud follow their bastardized script. Besides, this way they can show their flat pictures up on special walls, to almost every village in the land all at once! As grand as I am, all I can do is one place at a time, alas.
[Maybe TECHnically more if he busted out the Godly abilities, but he'd really rather not.]

Remarkable, isn't he? It makes me feel a bit guilty for not being better at this 'God of Heroes' business.

I can't say I have, I've only been reading the books- and not all of them yet, either. But you make your repreasentative sound perfectly dreadful! [Poor Gany, he's not used to horrible misrepresentations yet. They should have broke him in more gently. :( ]

Well, he doesn't get much screentime, but it's enough for me to disapprove on principle. [ a dramatic eyeroll, because ganymede wouldn't be himself if he wasn't a little dramatic now and then. ] Honestly, some of the art I've seen is bad enough, but now there's this.

Though dramatic Ganymedian hissyfits are always fun to watch!] True, some portrayals can just seem painful. But isn't it better than not being remembered at all?
Besides, there are some good examples out there as well, eh?

[ do you see this really unimpressed face, herc? ] .. Maybe for you. I haven't seen a decent interpretation of me anywhere. In the one Japanese comic thing I'm in, Apollo is keeping me captive in some sort of garden. And I'm helpless. [ 8| ] I haven't been helpless in a long time, even if my options are pretty limited.

What, no paintings, no sculptures to your liking? There are and have been people who care enough to create in your name and image, and I have a hard time seeing that as worse than not being cared about at all.
...Though it's rarely a good idea to pay attention to what comes out of Japan, they have a decidedly odd viewpoint on such things. Regardless, calling you helpless is absurd; as if you'd ever have made it this long that way! [Humph! HONESTLY.]

I know quite a few kids of that canon and they're interesting to poke. It's a popular kingdom of fan between the friends of my Lady Mun; I even share headspace with one son of Hephaestus. She says these books and the sequel are a quite fun read.

[Well, maybe not 3D or IMAX in Oklahoma.] No matter; if Asgardia is in similar state as Olympus was, I can surely understand your television troubles. Besides, is not everything online anyway?
It surely is a fun story, though I wonder where I am in it. Admittedly it would make for a rather shortened series- let's face it, the children are to be the heroes, not those who have already found their place!- but when high Olympus is challenged by Typon and Titans alike, it's rather odd to have some folk sitting it out.
Still, I trust you and the smith's son get along well? I can scarce imagine what tools he crafts to aid you in your mischief! [Said with a broad smile, because this one really is about the mischief, not the malice. It's why he's the FUN one!]

I checked with my Mun, and apparently there is a Hercules cameo in the sequel series. However, it wasn't a favorable representation. Bitter, unlikable, uncouth. You're much cooler and more fun, she says. But those kids are smart enough not to judge you because their version sucks. You're like a superhero and a movie star all rolled up into one.
...He does craft amazing things, but he doesn't trust me enough to team up with me a lot. Mischief or not, Loki or not, I am a god and they're not too prone to befriend those. Bad experiences with his pantheon, I assume.

[He winced at the further commentary, putting his hands to his ears right after 'However'.] Spoilers, lad, spoilers! You'd tear away my chance to discover for myself so that you might show off your knowledge? I should at least hope for a better return from such a clever fellow as yourself.
And given the way our pantheon operates, I can hardly blame him; Hermes may be the most blatant of us, but the petty vainglory and whimsy of my Family would make the post of Trickster God all but redundant. Why need someone to trip us up when we do it ourselves so well, eh?
But I'm sure there's room to convert the boy, so long as you play on your differences from the gods he knew rather than the similarities. Could be fun to try, perhaps?
