Speaking as an outside observer and, if you would permit me to say so Ms Hooper, I am rather certain you haven't. But it isn't something to be guilty of.

[Brian has no intention of upsetting her, Molly seems like a nice woman after all. But he knows the sorts of issues which can arise from not accepting feelings for others and the like.]

Naturally, and I wish you much happiness, but it's clear you still harbour some feelings for Mr Holmes.

(Oh, she knows she likes Sherlock there's no doubt about that. It seems sociopaths are just her type but over the years Sherlock has made it clear he can't feel the same for her as she does for him resulting in numerous awkward situations.

She will smile a little at his words though. What gave you that idea? The fact her fiancé looks and dresses like him?)

Feelings for someone are hard to get rid of. Especially now he's back.

[One can't help being drawn to those you like - Brian's own spouse Meggan fulfils his love of the exotic and the magical thanks to her origins, plus he has a thing for blondes. But of course, Sherlock is that sort of person high on a pedistool.]

Exactly. My wife was... absent for a while herself, and whilst she was gone I was wrestling with those same sorts of feelings, and they came all the stronger when she returned to me. I wouldn't let it get you down anyway.

(Well, she's happy to hear it's not just her it's happened to and that this is...normal. No, scratch that, nothing Sherlock related is 'normal' but that's just the nature of who he is.

[He can tell she would prefer not to think about it, so Brian smiles and allows her to change the subject.]

Certainly was, Meggan was... well no easy way to put it, but she got stuck in Hell for a while. Which was very unjustified given she'd saved the world as a result of ending up there. Sorry, me saying that sounds dreadfully looney I know, but it is what happened.

Stuck in he'll...right. Um it does sound a little unbelievable. But that doesn't mean it didn't happen.

Well, I'm glad you have an open mind. She got out anyway, Meggan is a tough girl and the demons down there would have learnt not to cross her. She has abilities you see. Like me, actually. I guess you'd call it magic, which I would respect as a fellow scientifically minded person is something you wouldn't accept at face value but... yes, magic it is.

Well...I kind of have to in my line of work...and when it comes to Sherlock.

(Because he sure has had some crazy ideas. Of course nothing quite as crazy as talking about hell an magic. Both things she finds it quite difficult to believe in but she's not one to crush other's beliefs.)
