You know, I do appreciate your enthusiasm and all, but it's three in the morning. And on January 1st, too.
I think a bit of healthy discretion might be in order here.

[Maya shut up you have no idea what time zone it was and I was not coming at 3am--]
Or any other time!
[MAYA.]
no subject
Oh, I know you would have. Which is precisely why I didn't call. [Mayas need beauty sleep too!!] Don't worry too much about me, okay? I can handle a rowdy mun well enough, I promise.
no subject
But I guess 3am is kind of a bad time to go out for burgers. They should really have burger joints that are open that late for when sisters like you and me have restless muns!
[Maya 3am is hardly ti-- wait no she's right that'd be awesome.]
If you say so... I mean, you did train Nick, after all.
no subject
Exactly. There's no way she could possibly be more of a handful than him!
[SORRY PHOENIX THEY'RE GOSSIPING ABOUT YOU.]
no subject
--You mean like one of those old retro diners? Those are the best! I always feel like we're suddenly from another time.
[When are they not gossiping about Phoenix?]
Maybe we both need to be watching him instead!
no subject
I'd say we drag him to said retro diner, but I don't know if he'd appreciate it. [a smirk. nope, always gossiping about poor ol' nick.]
no subject
[SHRUG.]
Wait-- weird company?
And yeeeaaah, he'd probably find the toilets more interesting than anything else.
no subject
Mmhm. No mythical creatures on my end, but there does happen to be a superhero that the lady behind the keyboard keeps around. Very nice kid. He turns into a bug: it's very cool, and also very gross.
[SNICKERING oh lord she doesn't want to laugh but it's the truth.]
Whatever makes my poor apprentice happy, I suppose! Have you seen him around, by the way?
no subject
[BIG BLATANT LIE.] It's a place called Ruby City... and there's monsters and stuff, but we also have a knight watching us, so that's cool..
[Snrk.]
Oh- Oh, are you talking about the beetle guy? Boss has a super hero with static powers in his space. [She makes a sort of jazz-hands gesture. Totally sparks. You got it, Maya.]
There's another vampire up there too, but he's really bad at it and the mun told me not to make too much fun of him.
[Another shrug, and she brings her hand to her face thoughtfully.]
I haven't seen a lot of them around here, but I live with him and Pearly in the city. You'd think he'd be around here...
no subject
As long as you aren't entirely to your own devices, and as long as you're all together. That's good to hear. [VERY good. a knight sounds reasonably safe. right? please be safe. ;;]
Jerry Reyes? [m-mia no--] That's him! Heroes and knights and vampires, though, huh. You must be having fun.
no subject
Whaaat? Mia, I could totally handle it on my own! [No, Maya, no you could not.]
I mean, not that I don't kinda miss everybody.
But-- yeah, I've heard of him! But I'm pretty sure it's Jaime, if that Virgil guy got his name right. [Bless you, you little nerd, more comics for you.] Aaaand I'm having fun, yeah. Most of the time.
I made friends with this guy with a girl's name and a really really loud guy who says he's a hall monitor.
no subject
Jaime. Right, easy mistake. [m.... mia no.]
A... hall monitor? Well, if he's loud, I'm sure he and Phoenix must be getting along swimmingly. [or yell at each other. one of those.]
no subject
--But that was a good one! Next time Nick's worrying too much, I might have to use that.
[And a quick nod.] I don't think they've talked so much, but they seemed to get along!
Then again, I just met this guy-- Apollo-- and he's JUST AS LOUD. I bet if you got all three of them together you'd go deaf for a whole week.
no subject
Apollo... he's the new one, right? I've heard a little of what's been going on for our noisy friend, but my mun refuses to tell me everything. [SKEPTICAL FACE.] She thinks it'll upset me. Or something.
no subject
I'll be okay. My friends are all pretty strong.
And that's right! He's got hair like a beetle, like this-- [She puts a peace sign over her forehead--] but his best friend said he looked more like a cardinal.
...Aaaand it might? [SHEEPISH SMILE.] Um, I don't really think I can say for sure what happens.
