I'd rather go back to the school, if I can. I've got friends back there, and I'm still learning a about a lot of things I probably need to know. I'm not sure I'm ready to be a hero, and I don't know why you didn't go with someone else who is. If you want me to stick around, though, and you can send me somewhere I can really help, that wouldn't be too bad. If somewhere needs my help, I can't say no, can I?

If you can also make it somewhere where people don't keep staring at my face, that would be nice too, but that's probably being hopeful.

It's called thewake. Your powers get nixed when you enter, but you can get them back with time. It's a city in a pocket dimension, and there's a few people who could pretty much be called villains. You could do some good there, I think.

Nervous might almost be kinda useful, though I don't know what corner of the multiverse you're from. Where I grew up it was basically a way to get on the short list for who the jocks pushed down the cafeteria stairs.

I don't like making people uncomfortable, though. I'm not like that. I'm not going to try and do bad things just because I look like this.

Yes, but it's called the Jean Grey Institute now. It got shut down for a while, and then it got a new name when they re-opened it.

Ugh, there's always drama. Still, would have been cool. I was always kinda hoping that if my team ever got to the end of the mission in one piece I'd see if Miz Blaire would take me.

You can always turn up anyway if you want. The headmaster doesn't really turn people away, if they want to look around or even stay. New people turn up all the time, even from other timelines, so I'm sure it wouldn't be a problem.
