Wanting to do...something with him again

[Shepard is not at all impressed with the lack of planning -- well okay, maybe he doesn't always plan ahead and sometimes rushes into things guns blazing and hopes for the best. But there was no reason for him to be pulled out after god knows how long without a second thought because this person felt like doing "something".

That is not an acceptable excuse to bother him, god damn it.]

Guess it was only a matter of time before I'd have to put up with you again.

[Really, this is only one of many times he's been pulled out with the intention of being put back out there only to be forgotten again. He would really prefer to stay in the dark recesses of this..."headspace" and be left alone. Some piece and quiet. It would be nice.]

[Okay, perhaps he's not the easiest person to deal with but he can't be so difficult that she would flip flop so much on what the hell to do with him. Nope.]

She's just indecisive and a poor planner.

And you're stubborn and impulsive and sometimes a little rude. [She folds her arms over her chest. Who needs facial expressions when her tone and body language are so clearly 'I am judging you'?]

I can see why she might have some difficulty making it work out, in her defence.

[Yeah, he sure does know that tone and body language by now. Arms folded right back at her. Except he can't go full on renegade attitude at her because, reasons. Stop being Tali, Tali.]

I'm not going to coddle her. If she can't handle it then she shouldn't try. Simple as that.

Is that how you felt about me, when we first met? I could take care of myself, but I couldn't fight like Garrus or Wrex could. I wasn't a soldier but you still took me along for missions.

I think it's worth giving people chances, if they're interested in trying.

[Okay so she kind of gets that point (because it's weird when she thinks about it too much) but she still has her own point to get across.]

And just like I did, other people are capable of... proving themselves capable. You get what I'm getting at. And she's obviously very devoted to the idea of you, Shepard, which has to count for something, or you're just being cruel.

[Crossing his arms and doing the whole RENEGADE POSTURE he's sure she's very familiar with by now. Except it's not really aimed at Tali, because he can't do that. It's impossible. It's against everything logic and science to renegade at her.]
