Wanting to do...something with him again
"Something."
[Shepard is not at all impressed with the lack of planning -- well okay, maybe he doesn't always plan ahead and sometimes rushes into things guns blazing and hopes for the best. But there was no reason for him to be pulled out after god knows how long without a second thought because this person felt like doing "something".
That is not an acceptable excuse to bother him, god damn it.]
Guess it was only a matter of time before I'd have to put up with you again.
[Really, this is only one of many times he's been pulled out with the intention of being put back out there only to be forgotten again. He would really prefer to stay in the dark recesses of this..."headspace" and be left alone. Some piece and quiet. It would be nice.]
Don't screw up.
[That's all he asks. Really.]

As long as I don't have to hear her whine about it.
[That's where the real pain and suffering lies.]
no subject
Oh, okay. Like that won't happen. Have you even listened to a mun? They're like nattering little mosquitoes with their problems.
no subject
[Let's talk war strategy now..!]
Either she'll screw up, cry about it for a week straight, and move on. Or her attention will suddenly move somewhere else and I'll be left alone again. I'm hoping for the latter.
[Which is how it was last time. Of course there is all that crap about lighting striking twice, ect.]
no subject
[Oh war strategy ? You mean we get to kill them?]
Pfft, yeah sounds about right. Mine has a million different ideas but doesn't do anything about them. Then just wanders off to go be stupid.
no subject
You'll get used to it, kid.
no subject
Yup, gonna be fun listening to all the ways that he plans on making my life suffering. Gonna be like a tea party. Except with things trying to eat your face.
no subject
If you're lucky he'll suddenly decide to make someone else miserable instead.
[If not, well, then you're boned!]

[Then again, Tali also operates on the basis of "reasons aren't needed to bug Shepard, because Shepard," so she is maybe not the voice of reason here.]
no subject
[Try not to sound like a jaded ex, Shepard.]
Several times.

[Okay, perhaps he's not the easiest person to deal with but he can't be so difficult that she would flip flop so much on what the hell to do with him. Nope.]
She's just indecisive and a poor planner.
[/stubborn]

I can see why she might have some difficulty making it work out, in her defence.
no subject
Stop being Tali, Tali.]I'm not going to coddle her. If she can't handle it then she shouldn't try. Simple as that.

Is that how you felt about me, when we first met? I could take care of myself, but I couldn't fight like Garrus or Wrex could. I wasn't a soldier but you still took me along for missions.
I think it's worth giving people chances, if they're interested in trying.
no subject
That was different. You still proved yourself capable.
[And Tali isn't manipulating him like some weird puppet, so maybe he's a tad bit less understanding right now.]
no subject
And just like I did, other people are capable of... proving themselves capable. You get what I'm getting at. And she's obviously very devoted to the idea of you, Shepard, which has to count for something, or you're just being cruel.
no subject
She has one last chance.
[Well, it's something.]
no subject
[ is that a hint of a smile tugging at miranda's lips? ]
I trust you've given your Mundane a speech.
no subject
[Hey, it's not his fault that giving speeches became something instinctual.
Like blinking when something gets too close to your eyes.]
I wouldn't waste my breath.
[No, he would. He did. Shhhh.]
no subject
Problems, Shepard?
[ what he means is... expect the worst. ]
no subject
Aren't there always?
[#Shepardslife, ect, ect.]
no subject
Hey, I'm sure it could be worse. It's not like she's making you dance, right?
[ He usually expects the worst. And there's really not many things in the galaxy that are quite as bad as that. ]
no subject
There are plenty of things worse than that.
[Like you know...
...
...
...fighting Reapers! Yeah, there's one.]
no subject
Like your bottle shooting skills?
[ Garrus Vakarian truly is the best friend anyone could ever have in the galaxy. ]
no subject
Now you're just being cruel, Garrus.
no subject
[ Because we all know who they'd come to if the bottles invaded.
Hint: It wouldn't be you, Commander Shepard. ]
no subject
...You're really milking that victory for all it's worth, huh?
no subject
[ Seriously, Shepard. Thanks for being the best bro ever. ]
