Besides I have a little city you may have heard of called New York that I need to be looking after so I can't really be spending my time here. Fascinating as I am sure this place is, oh did you get the sarcasm on that? Good.

[Alec is a little nervous around the police since they usually don't seem to like people with strange tattoos covering most of their bodies... and were usually carrying a variety of weapons. At least Alec's are concealed.]

I think time works strangely here. Most don't seem to remember being here when they return home.

I understand not wanting to abandon you're duties. I felt the same way about mine at first, but don't believe that being here means you're actually gone from your life back home. It seems that these places are like dreams. You wake up back at the point you left.
