Still fumbling with her and what to do.
Listen, you----you.
I know you've got a ton to think about and work with but really, I can't---I can't honestly say yes to any of this! You're really letting this...idea, inkling get to you!
Honestly, I just think you should think it through a little more, without all the petty excuses and flimflam. You've got other....older, more experienced, better voiced people that you could play with! Besides, you made a promise, didn't you?
Ah, you did, and you wouldn't want to go back on it. Really, what progress have you to show?

What are you doing, silly? Are you talking to yourself?
Or are you talking to your munny~mun~mun?
no subject
Who are you?
no subject
Sounds like you're in quite the tight spot.

[ Going out on a limb here to say she's encountered the talking, wild animals before. But an exploring artist all the same. ]
...Those are some lovely colors, if I may, where are you from?
no subject
Me? Why, I'm from the Pride Lands in Africa, madam! And you?
no subject
rungeek out. Where'd she get that scratchpad? ]Well, I'm from just North of London, but having been to Africa, I've never seen a bird like you before.
no subject
Oh, you've been to Africa, truly? [This bird isn't at all carrying an English accent, oh no sir.] How did you like it?
no subject
Yes! Yes, I loved it, it was fantastic, I couldn't possibly get enough of it. In fact, I was quite disappointed my mun here picked me up, or I'd still be there. I went to study gorillas, but when you can't exactly find them, there's plenty more to appreciate!
Though I'm probably sure you knew that already, didn't you?
no subject
You were in the jungle? Did you ever happen to visit the plains? Sprawling grassland in some parts, scorching desert, the jungles...many kinds of lands in Africa!
no subject
I wish. We'd only been there a few days before I'd been picked up. I don't think we'd ever have the time to move that far inland, only the coastline, and about a mile or so inward.
Were they not so ferocious, I'd have liked to study some lions myself.
no subject
Ah yes, lions can be so, but...unless provoked, there is not much of a reason for attack, yes?
no subject
That's where it gets tricky though, we're not exactly sure what will or won't provoke them.
Though I'm sure you could say the same for gorillas as well, I suppose.

Or any others, for that matter. A hippo with a hurt ear is something I'd rather not deal with above a great deal of many other things involving carnivores.

[ She stifles a chuckle, utterly amused at his pose. This one would be one for the books, she was sure. Another thought occurs and she has to try even harder to keep from laughing. ]
In fact, I do believe the same rule could even be applied to our guide. Not enough sleep and the man's almost unbearable.

He's not so much a guide rather than, ah, a man with a gun. He's done the whole Africa expedition before, but to my understanding, not near the coastlines, or anywhere near where we've been staying, really.
He's a bit of a brute, if you ask me.
no subject
A...gun, you say? What is that supposed to mean?
[Does a gun help make a man a brute?]
best thread, btw.
Ah, it's----well, it's a weapon, kind of. A weapon for self defense, I like to think, but some men like to carry them for sport, which I find to be silly and not at all attractive to my liking, at least. But back to the point, it's---oh goodness, here, let's try this instead.
[ Better off just drawing one. Let her skip a few pages back in her scratchpad, and doodle the basic shotgun. ]
Here we go. His looks a bit like that, and when you pull this little trigger here, the mechanism inside hits a small, explosive bullet, and launches it out the end. And it's going quite fast, so fast it'll go right through you.
I love it, too! :D
Go right through you? But what need would there be for something so destructive, and what do you mean by "sport"?
[He knows predators; he works with them. But they do not hunt for trophy, of course.]
:DDDD
[ How to put this delicately? To a bird? ]
It's, ah, some men like to shoot things, targets, animals, et cetera because they find it...fun? They'd call it sporting instead of "fun", all in all, I find it barbaric.
...and then Phil Collins is playing on my iTunes
Realization dawns in bird eyes, but it's quickly covered up by him rubbing his beak again as he mutters quietly:]
Seems the leopards are in a bit of a spot.
Why is Michel here? Why ISN'T Michel here?
You lost me.
