That's even assuming those lessons learned would even stick if I am to be given a complete wipe to being a clean slate. Although I suppose there is some point to it, although I am not even sure if it applies to me.

Chances are that it'll be like I was brand new arriving to a whole new world with little to know information to run with, let alone any people I can make some sort of plans with.

I'd rather not waste any pointless time figuring about who I am when it could be spent more on my objectives about learning more kinds of magic, or other necessities of surviving another day at the very least.

If anything, learning more of what kind of a person I am would prove to be more of a hindrance than productive.

What do you need all the magic for?

Two reasons. One official, and the other is official and personal.

The first reason is because that is my orders as Master Magician given to me upon my graduation from my instructors and seniors by using any means necessary. As a magician of the Magic Kingdom, it is my duty to follow those orders to the letter.

And for a personal reason is to kill my brother, also as ordered by my instructors and seniors. [Saying all of this without missing a beat or batting an eye. Kinda desensitized more than anything!]

As much as the stereotype bothers me, yes. There were a good number of those in my school and throughout the kingdom. Those are the ones who are more specialists mages than most other magicians back home.

It's almost always a dangerous sign when they deviate, though. A bald master, who isn't even that old - that sort would probably turn out to be a villain, you know? I'm very fond of the old wizards.

Don't let the stereotypes fool you. Even a bearded old man who raised you like he was a grandfather to you can be the most ruthless man you'd ever know. Appearances is not everything, it's only action that matters.

But then, the level caps vary sometimes. 99 is normal, but there are games that would cap you at 40, or even 18. On the other hand, some games will let you get up to 250 or higher...

So, if you had to rate your abilities on a scale from 1 to 99, where would you place yourself? With 99 being your maximum potential.

... it would be 98. Because there is always room for improvement to become better than what you were before even if you've made it to the other end. If you've reached your limit, then go beyond it to make that next step your new limit... and repeat as necessary.

... What sort of game would you like your mun to place you in?

One that has at least two of three requirements.

First, I keep my magic or be able to regain them somehow.

Secondly, preferably with past knowledge of places I've been to before. This can be a loss if need be, but I prefer it not to.

Thirdly, a place where I am able to learn different kinds of magic from other places and people.

So long as I am able to have any combination of those three, I'll be able to tolerate wherever I go.

You must be very dedicated. Do you have any hobbies besides magic?

Magic is my life, mind you. I am a magician and was raised to be one. Although outside of magic, I suppose fencing and marksmanship shooting would be side talents of mine.

Although those were more picked up as a necessity should I ever be depleted from using my magic and have to fend myself through other means.

Wow, you're really well rounded. Sometimes a swordsman can use some minor healing spells. But it's rare to have a caster who can use melee and ranged weapons...! I think.

To specialize yourself in your main strength is an easier method, turning your weaknesses into strengths is just as important. That way even if your true strength is rendered useless, having other talents to make up for it should help you.

That's very true. I'm much more used to people specializing in just one, thing, though.

Well, I actually have my own purposes besides just games...

But a talent is a talent. Games are usually full of puzzles, so I think gamers are naturally good problem solvers. We also have excellent hand-eye coordination.

As for an explanation, tell me first. Do you prefer to be shown or told? Both have different ways of giving you the information you'd want, but one tends to be more direct and informative than the other.

The direct way is preferred in all situations, including those pertaining to information.

The 'Gifts of Magic' works in various forms. Offensive, defensive, and utility usage comes from what schools you are taught in and how you perform them. This particular spell is from the Arcane school, and the spell is the Shield Card. It is both utility and defensive spell as your body has now been given a boost of resilience from most attacks for a limited period of time.

The more you dedicate yourself in mastering these schools, the higher advanced spells you'll learn along the process. The Shield Card is one of the more basic levels of spells that most magic users would learn with just sufficient amount of training.

One of them, yes. If it cannot be taught or learned in any viable method, then I won't waste my time on it and just continue on to the next challenge. As much as I would like to learn and master all kinds of magic, I'm not so foolish to not accept that there are certain schools of magic beyond my grasp as both a human and a magician.

But to those that I can learn and use? I will do what I must to acquire the gift.
