Canon is both DMC and Viewtiful Joe.
The name I suggested was superstylishstorm, not squid! Are you hard of hearing or something? Why are you even bringing that up? It was one time and the best I could come up with on short notice. It's not my fault Joe only gave us two days to work out the plan. I don't know why I even offered to help, he's worse than Dante.
And why the heck did you give me an icon of that ridiculous suit? Even if I still had it, I wouldn't wear it again. I know it's hard to find good images of me, but are you really that desperate that you're filling in spaces with things like that? Get rid of it and find me some real icons. And while you're at it, you should probably figure out what color you're going to make my eyes, since nobody can seem to agree on that.

I find it hard to believe that anyone could be worse than Dante.

That's what I thought, but this guy makes him seem brilliant. I think he might have been brain damaged as a child.

[Okay, maybe Vergil doesn't entirely mean that. Dante's pretty smart when he wants to be, he's just also infuriating, which means Vergil will snark at or about him at any given time.]
My condolences for your...situation.
[ooc: If you're looking for pictures to icon, pixiv has some if you search for アラストル ♥ I think you need to sign up first, but it's worth it.]
Thanks!
*They're both infuriating, which is why Alastor has to snark at or about them at every opportunity.*
Sure thing!
[Though it is strange -- seeing this person, he can't place him as any of the demons from the Temen-ni-gru. Flipping back through his book -- a compendium of various demons and spirits -- he finds an entry that matches. Alastor, the Spirit of Lighting. Reading the entry actually makes him a little impressed with his brother for being able to wield such a weapon, but he shouldn't be surprised. As aggravating as Dante could be, Vergil would expect no less from a brother of his.]
Alastor, is it? It's an honor.
Also, hi! I'm hellspawnedhero (I swear Alastor moved in to pester Dante.)
*He smirks and nods at the recognition.*
And you're his brother, right? No offense, but you're smarter than I expected.
Oh man, hi! <3 And thank Alastor for Vergil, please XD
[He can't even almost be upset at that assumption. Especially since they were not only brothers, but twins, one would expect them to act similarly. And if that person had met Dante first...yeeeeah.
Instead of seeming offended, he laughs.]
None taken. Trust me, I would have assumed the same thing in your position. But yes, I'm the other Son of Sparda -- Vergil is the name.
[ooc: Hi again! Sorry I waited until today to reply -- by the time I saw this last night, I was half asleep. And I'm also sorry I accidentally thread-dropped the last thing we had. We should thread with those two again at bakerstreet or something, though!]
No need to thank him, he's always happy to pick on idiots like his master.
*He sighs and shakes his head. He really does not know what he ever did to deserve this.*
(We should. They were so adorable, in a weird, bloody minded sort of way.)
This is what makes Alastor a good man...sword...demon...guy.
At least you can come here for a little bit of a reprieve?
(Right? I'd love to do something with Vergil visiting at Dante's place sometime.)
Even if he is kind of a brat.
Oh, I had a few places back in Movieland I could visit for some peace and quiet. But Lady Luck doesn't seem to be a friend of mine. Even here, I have to put up with my mun.
Who isn't, in this canon?
That's an unfortunate truth -- no matter where you go, you have to put up with the player. Luckily mine isn't as infuriating as she could be, so I don't have a lot to worry about there.
Most of the time.
[When she isn't teasing him because she's vastly entertained that there's someone in his life that he doesn't want to stab all the time.]
True enough XD At least anime!Alastor isn't as bad as his games counterpart?
*You could have built a house with the bricks that fell from his, Dante's and Dante's Shadow's combined posteriors.*
(I have a musebox if you want to do something there?)
Truth! I still wish Vergil had been in the DMC Anime.
I think I become more grateful by the day that she's awful at keeping up with tags.
(Sure, that sounds like fun! I was just going to link you to any bakerstreet memes that may fit for them, but if you want to do musebox stuff, that's totally cool too!)
Yeah. At least a flashback! More Sparda boy history would have been wonderful.
(Let's be honest, 90% of Bakerstreet is shippy memes these days.)
Exactly! It was a perfect opportunity and it got wasted :(
Still doesn't make it any less irritating for us.
(Ugh, yeah, it is. Though I've found a couple that could work that aren't shippy or smutty.)
And characterization for Eva! And maybe details on how Sparda died...
*That's a highly derisive snort. Him? Friends? Ridiculous. ...Right?*
It has to be one of the most ridiculous ideas I've ever heard.
Yes! I was so upset that Eva was barely mentioned :(
I feel for you.
[Genuine sympathy from Vergil? Somebody send Satan a pair of snowboots.]
And we hardly know anything about Sparda.
Right? And what was with that one dude saying he was still alive?
At least it'd be one hell of a kids' show, if that were the case.
I don't even know what's up with this canon's continuity sometimes...
*Especially the one where he almost killed him. Eesh.*
Amen to that.
That would be a travesty at best.
And of course, I'm pretty sure they'd have to negate me altogether for how many times I tend to run Dante through.
[Granted, every one of those times was well-deserved, if you ask Vergil.]
And what was up with that Tony Redgrave episode?
They'd probably just get rid of Yamato and have you push him over. And I'd be a wooden sword that smacked him on the head.
Oh my god, I know! Of all the random things...
You'd probably make a squeak-toy sound when you hit him, too.
Let's be thankful this isn't actually a thing.
I still think that he actually was the right Tony but had repressed the memories.
*Guess who is completely unaware of the irony of a devil referencing God.*
I could believe that, but there are so many holes in that whole thing.
I've worked out a rough timeline for it that I think works?
What about the fact that Eva supposedly escapes/the lack of Vergil?
Yet another downside of being stuck in the human world.
It wasn't Eva, it was a foster mother, his first and only one.
That actually makes a lot of sense.
Is it a full game, or a dressing-room type thing?
She died shortly after escaping and Dante repressed the memories because it was too much like Eva.
Though it might not make a bad game or dressing room setting.
I can get behind that.
He didn't go back into the foster system after that, but doesn't remember ever being in it now.
Poor kid. He needs every available hug.
Meanwhile, I'm becoming more and more disturbed to realize that the lady that plays me acts more like Dante than me. She sleeps way too much and is well-known at at least three separate pizza places. Something is sincerely wrong here.
He didn't start drinking for the taste :|
*He's never tasted pizza himself, but he's smelled it enough at Dante's place that he's already sick of it. And considering the fact that Dante's got the red theme going o top of the impulsive and hotheaded personality...*
