—Where? [ He grins and it lights up every line in his face. ] Everywhere.

You know, as a matter of fact, there does seem to be a bit of that going around here, yeah. Can't imagine why, of course. Well — apart from the fact that we're hundreds of years old, have two hearts, and are drop-dead brilliant, but, really, that's all the nitpicky bits.

Oh, I see. Blimey, everyone's a critic.

[ it's a known fact that laughter likely only fuels an indignant, but guess who's blonde, cheeky, and is laughing anyway? this girl. ]

Mum always told me not to pout. Gives you those little wrinkle lines, y'know.

Oi! [ She points a very stern finger in his direction. ] Don't you go all disgruntled Doctor on me for asking a question. Never stop asking questions, remember?

Oh, —blimey, I hate it when you're right.

Alright, c'mon, then. [ He leans in, wagging his eyebrows just once. ] Fancy a planet?

Oh, no. Wouldn't dream of it.

Wrinkle lines? Rose Tyler, I'll have you know that every single line you think you see here is wrought with pure, untouched wisdom. And laughter. Laughter lines. Lots and lots of — laughter lines. [ Right? Right. ]

Well, get used to it, Twig-Boy. [ She beams and leans in as well, lacing her arm through his. ]

Surprise me?

Twig-Boy—? [ He draws her arm in by the elbow, bringing it closer to his as they head in the direction of the TARDIS console. He frowns in thought, adjusting the knot in his tie. ] Not the worst I've heard, actually. Yeah.

[ After a quick pause, he bounces back: ]

Oh, she wants a surprise, does she? Amelia Pond, the Girl Who Waited —[ He places the tip of his tongue behind his front teeth, grinning as he grips her hand and spins her round in a quick twirl. ] let's not wait for that surprise, then, eh?

Laughter lines, he says. That what they're calling it these days?

[ hope you like that very pointed eyebrow raise, but she's still grinning in spite of it. ]

Twig. Boy. [ The words are repeated with precise punctuation and accompanied by a raise of her eyebrow, but it doesn't last long before her face lights up once more.

Even after all this time, Amy nods in excitement that would mirror a small child's. Then again, can one ever really get used to traveling through time and space? ] They're my absolute favorite.

[ Like a well-oiled machine, she doesn't miss a single beat and spins, grinning all the while. ] I think I've done enough waiting for a lifetime. [ Her heart skips a beat or two — she's keeping track — but she pays it no attention. ] Been there, done that. Let's skip it – it's boring.
