Thoughts on the season premiere and mylittlejamjar progression

...As much as I didn't want to see it, maybe it was for the best that I did. I've selfishly ignored Princess Twilight's concerns and problems for the sake of dealing with my own, but after seeing the responsibilities on her shoulders, I can't do that anymore. Her problems are just as important, if not moreso, than my own. The crown might not be my direct responsibility, but that doesn't mean I should ignore it. Princess Twilight needs to hold her head up high for everyone's sake; they need her...I need her to do just that and I'm going to make sure she can.

Don't worry, Trixie; that's still your character trait.

I'm not Princess Twilight; I just lived with her for a while. I'm still a unicorn. It's complicated.

Is the universe ready for so much concentrated magic and goodness?

It better be. Because as long as I'm there, I'll make sure she can fulfill her responsibilities...while not going too crazy with worry. I know it's hypocritical of me to say, but at least that puts me in a place to tell her what not to do.

Also, it's an alternate Equestria. You know, jamjar rules and all that.

Oh I don't know, you see pretty skilled at telling other ponies what not to do.

Of course, now I'm imagining a world with more then one Trixie...it's beautiful.

It'd definitely make your performances much more fun to watch. I think the real question is whether or not the universe is ready for more than one Great and Powerful Trixie.

I'll be sure to submit the request to Princess Celestia and let the other Trixie know. You'll have to start coordinating your performances.

Of course! We will be the greatest team in all of the multiverse! Thousands will flock to our performances.

That means much more business than usual. The multiverse has an incredibly varied audience, you know; I hope you'll be ready for that.

But of course! I've even been working some new aspects into my show, marionettes! And more Trixie means more puppets at once!

Not to mention better visual effects. You're really good with illusion magic, so two of you can produce better illusions.

Now, if only I could convince this unworthy mundane to stop toying around with other ponies and just let Trixie do what she does best in one of these worlds.

That's something you'll have to take to them. They listen better to their own muses than others', I believe.

If it helps, there's already another Trixie in the Equestria I'm in and I think she'd appreciate a fellow showmare.

(Well this wasn't exactly what she expected, but that won't be a problem.)

...That's right. You'll be a princess one day...just like you used to play with Cadence. Remember playing princess with Cadence?

[She nods, since that's all she can think to do or say at the moment. Her, being a princess of all things? She never thought of herself as anything special. All this is a little much to take in, especially for a filly of her age.]

I-I'm...I'm...going to be a...ow...my head hurts.

(Oops. Looks like the thought was a little too much for the young filly. Twilight tries to help her relaxing with a hug.)

Don't worry about all of that right now; that's not going to be for a long time. You just keep reading all of the books you want and practicing your magic. And don't forget to make some friends along the way; that's important.

[The hug helps...a little. But it's still a huge revelation for her. Her older self is barely getting used to it, for a filly who doesn't even have her cutie mark yet this is borderline incomprehensible.]

B-but being princess is a huge responsibility, and I-I-I don't even have time for friends now, how am I not supposed to worry?

It'll come to you, Twilight; you're much stronger than you give yourself credit for. You know you'll always have mom and dad's support, right? The same goes for Cadence and Shining Armor. They all believe in you and they'll be there to help you whenever you need it.

And I'll be there for you, too.

You just let your ol' friend Pinkie Pie handle this. There'll be sneaking, and spying, and an awesome slow-motion action scene where something really important blows up! It'll be amazing!

Pinkie, I don't want to steal Princess Twilight's crown. I want to make sure she can wear it without its implications weighing her down. It's a huge responsibility and I want to make sure she's ready for it.
