I'm usually all about the solo stuff, but teams are all the rage these days.

Training huh? Good for you! There's no nobler profession than that of a superhero.

A super hero team? I mean, sure I've heard of hunters and huntresses, but... Super heroes? Really?

[He ponders a moment.] What's your super power? Do you shoot lasers from your eyes or something? [He even makes binoculars with his hands to provide a gesture - you know, in case the so-called super hero doesn't know what he's talking about.]

I'm invincible, super fast, and super strong. Eye lasers are yesterday's gimmick, not very conventional.

Besides, you wouldn't believe the stink when you hit someone with a big dose of laser.

Stink? Gross.

Well I guess all those things are cool. I have... this!

[He holds out his sword - a rather classic blade that looked more like it ought to be hanging over a hearth somewhere.] And I lead a team myself! They have much, much cooler things than I do.

[Hammer appraises the sword. Seems pointy enough!]

What does it do?

[After all that talk of super powers, it's gotta do something, right?]

...Wait a minute. If your team can do cooler things than you, then why are you the leader?

What does it do? Well... it's a sword. It... cuts things. But I also have this shield! [His sword sheath detaches from his belt, and seems to extend on either side to make a large metal shield. He then retracts the shield back into its sheath shape, and sheaths his blade.] You know, so if I ever get tired of holding it I can just... put it away!

And uh... honestly, I don't know why I was picked to lead the team. I was never told why... I was just picked.

[He's trying to look impressed. Instead his mouth just makes a weird line. A sword and a shield? That's all?]

Uh.

Well.

Maybe whoever picked you thought you had..................potential.

[Or they picked someone incompetent because the picker is secretly EVIL. Or they just felt this kid was kind of pitiful and believed all he needed was just a little confidence. In both cases, Hammer would punt the picker.]

You're training hard then, right?

I guess maybe they did. Heh. Uh, anyway, yeah! I'm training, maaaaybe with a little extra help from my team member, Pyrrha. But even before that I managed to cut the head clear off an Ursa! It was literally the coolest thing I've ever done.

[He offers her his arm. Contrary to popular belief, he DOES have his charming moments. He just also has his dickhead moments.]

[And she takes it easily. She's seen both sides--the charmer and the dickhead. He's a familiar face and a friend.]

Ahah, you know me. Always wanting to lend a helping hand... [She smiles softly.] I've had ample time to catch up on my laundry too.

That's right, little Chinese man! Just as soon as I get settled in and see who I've got for potential recruits.

[From a nuclear explosion, from a virus that would kill everyone from superpowers, from the world exploding because too many people got superpowers in the future, from a madman that gets stronger around superpowered people and wants to kill people that don't have superpowers... Hiro's been busy.]

[But he's so...nerdy. He definitely goes against the common heroic type in Hammer's world. But then again, very few heroes in Hammer's world have actual powers.]
