Matters of strangers, receiving presents, the guild, and obtaining a certain "soul", FF14: ARR
'Twas a busy day, Mundane... I did not think it possible for you to accomplish many feats in a single sun but mayhap I was wrong about you.
I must admit. Meeting Miir'a and T'brohka was not such a bad idea, though I've my reservations about them yet. But you must understand... I hold reservations with many things. Even still, 'twas great to meet them both. Mayhap I will see them again sometime. And while 'twas not mentioned nor spoken of, the gifts... they were quite nice... and very useful... 'Tis unusual for me to receive presents of any kind from anyone save for my mother... Miir'a has my sincerest thanks... Though it does not stop my feelings of obligation somehow... Mayhap I'll get over it...?
Ahem... Onto other matters...
I understand your slight frustration towards the situation that happened between Guildmaster Mylla, Aldis, and Leavold, and their past. But there is naught you can do about them. I understand your liking for Aldis, believe me, I do... I admire him for his strength and determination and yet I do not envy him for his past, as unfortunate they may have been... nor do I agree with his choice to leave Ul'dah, as I believe there are many things he can teach me... While I believe I am at a much greater level now than when I started studying the art of the sword years ago, I also believe that Mylla and Aldis have much to teach me... Alas, I must do what I can with what I know, and mayhap seek out other skilled swordsmen and women of Eorzea...
Also, I'd like to mention that, while on a journey to learn the techniques and skills of a paladin, the Roegadyn man who interrupted me is... as Augustine would say, "creepy." But there is no need to feel like I must needs "slice him up into itty bitty pieces," Mundane. You and I only know of Captain Jenlyn's side of the story, I'm sure the Roegadyn man has his own...
Lastly, please be sure to thank the Lominsan armorsmith Albert for my new armor. While not exactly any kind of revelation, becoming a Paladin is somehow... empowering, and obtaining new armor helped...
