It's the only explanation I can think for it, after all. He's one of the Fair Folk, not exactly someone I would think of spending time - they bring terror and create mischief for their own amusement and this one steals children. Well, alright, to be fair he collects children who have been wished away to him and then turns them into goblins if the wisher does not run to save them or fails the run but I don't quite see how that's any better.

I suppose he is handsome in an unconventional sense, and you can stop the sniggering - I am aware I'm not exactly conventional myself. And I suppose the fact that he actually does seem to care for the children he takes is pleasing and frankly anyone stupid enough to wish away a child to a Fae, well, running a confusing labyrinth seems a tame punishment. I do realise all this, but still... Jareth?

Most that the mun brings me into the company of are very much fans of the dark seducer of the night routine. It becomes tiring.

Oh yeah, I know a lot of vampires like that. So you think cheerful, upbeat vampires are more fun than dark seducer of the night vampires?

I think vampires in general can be tiresome, but those who at least attempt to not give into all the cliches are more interesting to speak with than those who do.

Apologies. I did realise you were a vampire, but the Mun was insistent on a particular ship with myself and a vampire. It got to be a running joke, I think you'd say, that vampires were attracted to me. [Clearly did not like this joke]

I'm grateful. [She is. Even if she does sound like she's making a dry comment about it] Honestly, I don't understand why it's such an issue with the muns. They spend so much effort on their 'ships'.

My mun doesn't really ship me with anyone ever. She ships some of her other characters, though.

I must confess I fail to see see how that is any better either.

Also my "mundane" wishes me to complement yours on their sense of taste.

My mundane is rather annoyed that - being who I am - I don't see why it's better. I suppose I do, in a sense. If he is only taking those wished to him, then he is removing children from people who are silly or stupid enough to think they can make wishes to Fae with no consequences but at the same time you have to wonder where the words came from in the first place.

I cannot help but think that some parents might say those words in frustration. Or perhaps they might not believe in the fey. Many people in my world don't. Some parents might truly wish their children away, and they might even be better off gone, but I can't believe that's true in all cases.

I suppose that's why they're given the chance to win their child back. If it was meant in frustration, they should be able to win the Labyrinth. No matter how it was meant, however, you should not be taking chances by wishing without thinking.
