It's nice to know you haven't forgotten about me! I can't say I like being ignored, but it does let me spend more time with my family. They mean the world to me, though I blame them entirely for this heavy weight in my chest!

[He laughs, loud and unapologetic. Okay so maybe he doesn't wholly mind the weight.

A moment later, his smile becomes a smirk, playful and dangerous.]

It has been a long time. How have you been? [Time cannot lessen his charm!] I see you have settled on my darker hair. It does make me look dashing, doesn't it? Though I was beautiful as a blonde.

[We do not speak of the red hair. We do not speak of it.]

Where is Sophie? Calcifer? I admit all of them have been missed.

Its okay Miss Mun. Don't cry. I know you've been having a hard time the past month and a half. It'll be okay. You know I'll always be here when you want to use me again. I'm just sad I couldn't say goodbye to all my friends... [He pouts his lips as he huffed.] Stupid door. So I'm going to do it here.

[He takes a moment gathering himself. Nope, not going to start crying. Not in front of everyone. Taking a deep breath he holds it there before releasing it in one big sigh.]

Thank you everyone who were my friends and helped me. I never had that many before. I should be happy to be heading home. To see Miss Sophie again, but the truth is.... I'm going to miss all of you. So um.... [There was a silent pause as he turned a little sheepish.] It was really nice to meet you Jack. Thank you for all the fun times. I... I just want you to know that I will always believe in you, even if I'm stuck on my side again. And uh.... Mr. Pitch... [He fidgets a little.] . . . Sorry again for the name calling... Actually going to miss you too. You're not as mean as people say you are. Take care of Quinn for me, okay? Oh! [His eyes lightened up.] Lili! You can have any of my stuff I left behind. There might be some candy left over from the last time you came over.

Somebody needs to keep an eye on Master Howl now that I'm not there. I'm going to worry that he's going to get into trouble without me. Make sure he eats right!

[There was another long pause as it all started to sink in.]

Goodbye Anatole. Keep safe.

Miss Mun,

Isn't it a bit rude, barely giving me hardly any of my happily ever after before throwing me into some new adventure. And honestly, what is the sense of having a pair of wings? They'll just get in the way.

Who do you think will attend to the castle while I'm gone? Howl will fritter away all our money on cosmetics and and by the time I return. He won't do any of the dishes, or the laundry which always seems to multiply when his back is turned. The entire castle will fall apart into ruin. And with Lettie's wedding coming up as well!

There's simply too much to consider, I have to put my foot down in this situation. I don't approve of this in the least.

Do you have any idea how hard it is for me to stay free? I won't take kindly to you barring me in this cell, Mundane. Even if you were to let me roam in a game - as you call it - that wouldn't be the same as being in my castle with my family.

Reconsider your decision before I become angry.

If you must apply to play me, there are conditions that you absolutely have to meet:

One, I will not willingly go anywhere without my castle. Try it and you will spend several days as an amphibian.

Two, for the love of everything, choose which canon you wish to play me from. Either the book or the movie are fine with me, but your bouncing between the two is giving me the most awful headache.

Three, Sophie.

I am sure you will meet all of my requirements with alacrity.

We still have several months until May, Miss Mundane. I do not think that you need to panic over finding a face for my older self just yet. Though I would urge you to actually start looking sooner rather than later. I know you are anxious to play past my more...mousy beginnings, but you were the one who decided to stick with the time set forth in my book. You cannot back out now.

While we're on the subject of the future, it might make things easier for you if you were to find a Howl as well. It certainly wouldn't be easier for me but I think we both know you don't pay much mind on that. I imagine there are better ways of finding him than just sitting in front of that "computer" of yours and whispering "please please please". Take some action, please.

Oh, and one final note: I won't be forgetting the humiliation you put me through on the New Year any time soon. Couldn't you have found a more fitting dress?

It has certainly been a while, hasn't it Miss Mundane? I've noticed that you pulled my book off the shelf again. I can only assume you mean to place me in another one of these games.

I suppose the one you've selected doesn't look terrible. Certainly safer than Mayfield and I can stay at home in Ingary.

You'll be restarting me though, won't you? Back to Sophie the mouse. It can't be helped, I know.

I also saw you were looking for a proper face instead of these illustrations. I wouldn't mind as long as you find one that's really suitable.
