[there are no words to describe the sheer amount of rage Sayaka is feeling at the moment.]

That transfer student has some nerve.

[Sayaka is repressing the rage she has for Madoka's benefit.]

[ Madoka knows. that's just like Sayaka, to keep her feelings under wraps for Madoka's sake. ]

Sayaka-chan... [ she musters a smile, laying a hand on her friend's shoulder. calm down. it's okay. she knows that part of this anger is for Madoka's sake, but... Sayaka gets rash, when she's like this.

Madoka has her own feelings on the matter, and... they're a little more complicated than simple rage. ]

... I guess, really, I'm the transfer student now, huh. [ it's an attempt to lighten things that falls flat even on Madoka's own ears, and she just... sighs. ] I don't - I don't understand.

[she knows that she's trying to calm her down. that's just how Madoka is. she shakes her head.]

Transfer student or not, you're Madoka. [she pulls Madoka close into a rough hug.]

Ah-- [ she's surprised by the hug, almost losing her balance, even. but - it's just Sayaka. ]

Sayaka-chan... what are you going to do?

[she loosens her grip slightly to make Madoka more comfortable. she knows that maybe she did it too quickly but - she had to make sure Madoka wasn't going to be taken away anytime soon.]

I'm going to find Akemi, that's what. She just can't keep doing these things to you, Madoka!

[ even now, she doesn't really want Homura hurt. she'd fought for so long for Madoka's sake - they'd even been friends, once. to think that they might be enemies--

[ if she lets herself believe that, then... how could she let Homura down after all the other girls? back before everything had changed, Homura had never given up on her. ]

First thing is making her stop. Then we can go about spreading hope and you can do your thing.

[ Madoka gives an answering squeeze. ]

She's really powerful... [ she pulls back to look at her friend, worry in her eyes. ] I don't want you to get hurt, either.

[ since, outside of this space, they don't even have memories to fall back on, now. ]

Someone needs to do it. [someone has to have the courage to call her out. Madoka did something that no other magical girl could... it's the least Sayaka could do.]
