...It is not always "awful". Compared to most places here, it's rather pleasant. Most citizens are rather kind. There have been "events" in the past, but they tend to occur on a monthly basis... and their effects or unique locations don't last long.

Currently, those remaining include Italy-kun, Germany-san, Hong Kong-san, Vietnam-san, Lithuania-san, Poland-san, Iceland-san... I believe Denmark-san and Austria-san, as well. Taiwan-san and Finland-san also just arrived.

I share your sentiment, but there's only so much you can do. I hate to say "grin and bear it," but it seems the best course of action. It's not an unpleasant place, but as you said... there's plenty of other things that I personally would rather be doing.
