Well, since you're asking... I'd lock 'em both up. Loud guys like that never get anything done, and I'd take quiet over whatever mess they'd cause. Waste of space if you want my opinion.

[He doesn't answer right away. He seems to be sizing up the kid before he decides.]

If nothing else, that's space you could use to keep real bad guys locked up. ... you know, unless these are real bad guys.

[Usually people blame Iida's caustic nature, but there might be something more than that this time. The detective thinks so too, even though he doesn't exactly say so.]

They're just a couple of morons. Nothing special. If all else fails I'll find some muzzles for them. The real question is whether or not this means I'm gonna have to supervise.

Maybe that's exactly what they need to straighten up and get serious.

[The subtle reaction is all right. Iida's comfortable with it--probably more than he would be with an outgoing person. Andy being reserved plays in his favor with the cop.]

Maybe what they need is a brick to the face. Don't think that'd get through the thick skulls, though.
