In some ways. I can understand, now, why the kaiju thought humanity so easy to exterminate.

Not sure if I should take that as an insult or not.

It isn't meant as an insult. [Which is probably the closest to an apology that Striker will ever give.] After being housed in such a powerful body, a human body feels fragile. Easily broken. But I have to wonder what will happen if another breach opens. It opened and closed once before.
