[Well, this is... kind of awkward.]
M-mun-san... you already have Ryou-chan like this, d-did you really need another one?

I had gotten that impression from Ryou-san that her spirit liked to cause trouble.
[Okay. Trouble was sugarcoating it, he knows. But still.]

I... remember a duel once. It was back in Battle City and... her Spirit tried for Mou Hitori no Watashi's hand because Ryou-chan had been injured... so... Any wrong move or too powerful an attack, she would have been killed...

[His voice is gently as he prods the young woman for more information.]
What happened?

After that, our names were randomized so that we would have the first duel of the Battle City semi-finals. Her Spirit finally revealed himself at the beginning of the duel, battling with me and Mou Hitori no Watashi. Once he realized that he was losing, and we had pulled our God card on him... he... Rishid... it's a long story about him... but he pulled out the Millennium Rod and briefly released Ryou-chan from the Spirit's control, just as we were about to call out our final attack.
Ryou-chan was so weak and in so much pain... [It still hurts her, even now, recalling the events.]
If the Spirit hadn't taken back over her... I don't know what we would have done...

[His words are soft, but his tone is reassuring. He might not understand three quarters of what Yuugi just told him, but he gets the gist of it.]
Ryou-san's a lot stronger then she looks too. I'm sure if you couldn't, then she would have done something.

The fate of the world was at stake too. If we hadn't won that duel... a lot more people would have been in danger, not just Ryou-chan.
It still hurts to think about... if we had to make that decision... to hurt our friend for the sake of the greater good...

At her last statement, he swallows. He remembers their plan of Zero Requiem, of killing Lelouch so that the world could finally realize that a kinder, gentler world was possible. Or even when he had turned Lelouch over to Charles and the subsequent brain washing that had gone on afterwords.]
Be glad that ultimately, you didn't have to make that decision. It's never one to take lightly, and you might end up second guessing it for the rest of your life.
