I'm well aware of that, but destroying ships is what I happen to do best. It's no surprise that I would be looking forward to that more than I would for pillaging and whatnot.

You focus too much on the destruction! While I do enjoy tearing things up a bit, you have to think of the bigger picture. Is the ship itself worth more then it's cargo? Or it's crew for that matter...

Then taking over or disabling the ship would be the best option over destruction. I may prefer destruction, but I am aware of the alternatives. I wouldn't be very good at my job if I didn't.
