Of all the demons and monsters in your mind, I'm the one you find most intimidating? Why, I'm flattered.

You may have heard that it's a bad thing to have me in your head, but I'm not the one who can, even in your imagination, do you damage. I am abnormal and glad to be so, but there are things in here more fearsome than a young artist. Even one who has chosen such an unusual medium as I have.

So to know that I am more unnerving than aliens and demons, faeries and gods? That is a fine gift.

Sometimes the most intimidating individuals are the most evasive and mysterious ones.

I'm not the greatest mystery in here either, I assure you.

I can imagine. You're flattered to be the most intimidating, however, makes one wonder if there's something to that.

I'm intimidating because I'm proud of being intimidating? That's a bit circular, you konw.

Not quite, I'm just wondering why you find it to be a gift or flattery. There are certain implications there, but is being intimidating a compliment because we associate it with power--and who doesn't want power--or is it an insult because it speaks to a place inside of us that's deeply insecure?

It's a compliment to me.

Why?

Because I was going to be frightening anyway, so being the most frightening is the best I could hope for.

I suspect the definition of frightening here has nothing to do with jumping out of the bushes and scaring people for kicks.

Clever, yes it does...I try to find the balance inside of people, to reconcile their dualities.

That could have a number of meanings. Hann means grace and Ba'al was a god, but I'm certain that's not your meaning even though it's a very poetic name. Grace of Ba'al.

I like to think that I am kinder than God, at least. *He smirks just a bit.* I am a student, a reader and sometimes a bit of a lecturer--but mostly I am a cannibal.

I suppose it depends on your perceptions of God, some people imagine a wrathful and indiscriminate being. *Well now, you have her attention.* I admire your honesty, would you care to talk more about your cannibalism?

Any God who created a world as flawed as this must be cruel, for this world is cruel.

There is truth in that, but in such a cruel world shouldn't someone find the good and hold onto it with all of their strength?

As a psychologist I'm interested in why people are who they are, if it's not too invasive.

You are hurting an innocent, you are hurting yourself.
