Then he glances at his mun with the most coldly disdainful eyes imaginable.]

Though it's hard to tell, he relaxes a little now that Hiyoko's here. He had thought he was alone again.] I think she considers it funny.

[Hiyoko sits down next to Nageki and rests her arms against her knees. 'Sup, library buddy?] Still! I'm glad I get to spend some time with you! After all that craziness, I thought it was curtains for me.

[At the question, Hiyoko puts a finger to her chin and looks skyward thoughtfully.] Hmm... well, you know, I think it's kind of "none of the above"! Stuff like that doesn't apply unless the muns want it to, or so mine said. [Now she grins toothily.]

You're right. It really is a terrible way to go. [And that's coming from a guy who killed himself with fire.

He lowers his books to look at her thoughtfully.] Well, you seem better. That's the important part. [He gives a tiny, tentative smile in return, and then it fades quickly again.] Have you seen anybirdie else? My mun says that this place is dominated by humans.

It probably looked worse than my last big hunt! [Ahahaha, terrible jokes take the pain away.]

Hmmm.... well, I saw Sakuya when I first got here, but nobirdie else has shown up just yet. [Hiyoko pouts slightly, arms folded across her chest in a huff.] It's kind of weird seeing so many humans, though. Maybe they'll be able to see you. And think of all the books and stuff you could find to read.

I wouldn't know. They didn't bring anything to the library. [Whether he doesn't understand it's a joke or he's just being a humorless ghost is anyone's guess.

It's hard to read Nageki's expression as he glances around at their surroundings, trying to figure out how he feels about the situation. On one hand, he's not stuck in a library talking to only one or two people anyone. On the other hand, he's pretty used to that situation and he's not sure what to do with himself when it's not the case.] If most humans are like you, I don't think I have anything to worry about... [He hesitates, then slowly closes his book.] Maybe we should take the time to explore while it lasts.
