finishing up his app
You talk about me and yet ignore me for months, you put me at the bottom of the pile for over a year, and now here you are again. You've come back, just as I knew you would. I am not one to be ignored for very long. I will always be returned to, in the end.
[yeah yeah you're just that good and no one forgets you because you drink all their friends, we know, we know]
Now, as for this...application. You have time, certainly, but you should endeavor to finish it as soon as possible. That it is still not completed is very sad to me. Very sad indeed. A push in the right direction is all you need. Keep going. You know I can wait, but I would rather not. It has been too long. My time at the forefront is now.
...no matter that it is a place composed of a turtle's back.

Indeed
[If he had a pulse, you'd see a vein throbbing.]
No, I mean a young witch with delusions of grandeur - in the employ of the Church no less - and a boy who would seek to claim my power as his 'inheritance.'
[He still finds the idea of the Church employing a Witch to hunt him a direct mockery, since his wife was burned at the stake for being a witch.]

[So much disdain in such a small word. No veins throbbing either, but he's clearly on board with the church hate.]
Should keep their noses in their bibles and hymnals where they belong.

[If he had a cup to raise, he would.]
The one bright point is that Death has found his way there. At least I will not lack for intelligent conversation.

Death? He would be a boon in anything, I would believe. Imagine all he's learned throughout history, how much he could tell—if he would impart it, of course.

He has been a loyal vassal for centuries, and trusted confidant.
[Vlad doesn't know that this is a different Death, though.]
Not to mention the only being to ever match me in a game of Chess.

You've met him already? [Wow Vlad is kind of jealous] Match you—you mean he beat you? In chess?

Indeed. I have known Death for as long as I can remember. [He nods, chuckling a bit.] I'm not entirely sure just how he managed it either. I suppose when you are present on every battlefield throughout the entirety of time, you pick up a few insights in strategy.

Old friends. [Greeted death as an old friend sounds great, just ask the third brother.] I'm sure he'd have more than insights into what strategic methods should be utilized throughout various battles.
He might know as close to "everything" as anyone ever could. Must be a little stressful, having that much information.
