You talk about me and yet ignore me for months, you put me at the bottom of the pile for over a year, and now here you are again. You've come back, just as I knew you would. I am not one to be ignored for very long. I will always be returned to, in the end.

Now, as for this...application. You have time, certainly, but you should endeavor to finish it as soon as possible. That it is still not completed is very sad to me. Very sad indeed. A push in the right direction is all you need. Keep going. You know I can wait, but I would rather not. It has been too long. My time at the forefront is now.

...no matter that it is a place composed of a turtle's back.

I would never have thought there could be a turtle so large. It is a very strange idea, but it seems to be going well enough.

The turtle is still swimming, after all.

I will pray that he never sinks. [That would be devastating.] Forgive my curiosity. Some of my friends are turtles.

I wouldn't call them my friends, but the wolves near my home are very fond of me and I of them. Your turtles must feel lucky.

[She tilts her pale head and gazes at him fixedly. There is a pink mark on her forehead where her horn used to be and her eyes are an odd - yet beautiful - shade of purple.]

Wolves are intelligent creatures. I respect them greatly. It is nice to see a man befriending them.

The men I have known... [Not all of them. There are exceptions.] They hunt, they pillage and ravage without conscience.

[Vlad doesn't know anything about this pillaging and ravaging, nope. Or about not having a conscience. Or about being a man that would even care about those things. That's just too terrible to even imagine. Really it is.

I have met...two...that are different. [One is a wizard and another is a prince.] The first one did not call me a white mare.

[That last part is said in a way that makes it obvious the phrase insults her.]

Men are so close-minded. They only see what they want to see.
