You can probably find a picture of one in a book somewhere. It's bound to be in some textbooks somewhere. [maybe not... the actual thing. But pictures of carvings and rumored Mew sightings.]

Oh, cool! I'll take a quick look at it sometime. Maybe they might have a clue on where I should find it!

I don't know about that. Mew has always been a rather elusive Pokemon. I don't know if even someone as accomplished as Professor Oak from the Kanto region would know where to find it.

So where is probably a moot point, huh?

Ah well, I'll just have to look even harder! Professor Oak will definitely be happy about it once I find it!

Not just Professor Oak. The other Professors in different regions would no doubt be interested in seeing a live Mew, too. [And you know. Other Trainers, too. Trainers like Cheren.]

Where have you already looked for one?

I checked all throughout Kanto, from the mountains to the forests of Viridian, but found no Mew so far. I'm starting to guess it could be somewhere outside of the region...

Somehow I think if it's anywhere, it would be somewhere far away, where not many people visit. Someplace similar to that Nature Preserve Professor Juniper mentioned before. If it were anywhere else, there would be more sightings, don't you think?

Somewhere where not many people visit, huh?

I do know a few... but I don't think I've checked on them yet.

What places are those, if I can ask?

I bet you could find out somehow. Mews can't be that hard, right?

[Well he's searched and caught all 150 Pokemon so far. Surely, Mew wouldn't be too difficult if he looked hard enough...]

Then again, my only clue to finding Mew is this one.

[Red takes his Pokedex out and opens up Mewtwo's entry.]

Maybe it looks like Mewtwo, since he did mention about being Mew's child and all...

I... don't ever recall him mentioning about that. All I know is that my friend, Green, found Mewtwo in a cave in Cerulean. Though he and his Pokemon got really beaten up when he tried to catch it.

[And he feels pretty sorry about Green until now. Poor guy.]

He met me when I was on a mission to find Red. I wasn't really good at training pokemon especially since I didn't know any of their moves or anything, so he made me learn.

So, um, anyway back to what I asked; Why was Green looking for... this other guy named Red?

Because he went missing after a someone from the elite four challenged him. Pika came to warm Professor Oak and I heard what he had to say. Red was in danger.

Oh geez, that's no good...

[Mew? As in, legendary Pokemon? You bet Cynthia is all over that!]

There have been at least a few ancient carvings and primitive paintings depicted in books, and while they may vary in a few aspects, the general consensus so far is that Mew looked a bit like a feline, with very large large eyes and a long, slim tail. It must have been quite an adorable sight, I imagine!

Small, pink, with a long tail, big cat ears, and blue eyes. Last I saw it was at the Tree of Beginning. But I wouldn't recommend going there. It's got this whole immune system that attacks anyone going in.

I don't think I'm familiar with that place... but it sure sounds like a dangerous place.

Yeah, aside from the people-eating blobs, there's a Regice, Registeel, and Regirock looking after everything. They're not exactly pushovers.
