Yeah, I'm sure there are going to be plenty of people who'd rather not see me around. Welcome to the story of my life. No one wants to tell me the truth and just about every girl I've met wants to kill me.

Maybe I should go back to setting Christmas trees on fire. People might have freaked out them but at least they didn't zoom away from me like I was the plague.

Who drops that kind of bomb on a guy and then leaves without answering a single question?

You can't live like that in your own world? [ Maybe it's a stupid question though. ] What if you broke away from N.O.W.H.E.R.E. or whoever the people are who you work for? You know? Just quit.

That's what I want to do, I don't want to be apart of whatever it is they have planned for me.

I'll be free...I'm just not sure what to do with my freedom.

There's gotta be something you want to do.

[Thinks back to one of the last conversations he had back in his world.]

I want to continue to use my powers, I like not having to hold back. And I want to stop The Culling. I don't know what exactly it is, but if it's tied into what I think it is, I'm putting an end to it.

[Smirks again.] There are other things I want but I probably shouldn't.

[championofares]

[ Cassie eyes that smirk with a suspicious grin. ] If your mun wasn't in the picture, what would stop you from doing those things back home?

N.O.W.H.E.R.E. will try and stop me, but I'm going to take care of them. [Something he's looking forward to. He 'owes' them.]

Maybe a better way of putting it is there are things for me to do back home, but I don't have the same kind of investment and attachment that you do with your world. So you probably have more of a drive and purpose than I do.

I bet you'll get to do some of the things you want in the place your Mun is sending you. I mean, even if you don't have your powers for a while... [ Where was she going with this? ] You can still make friends and help people. And who knows? Maybe you'll get them back before you know it. [ Since Cassie knows how much not having powers can suck. ]

You weren't kidding when you said you liked me, were you? You keep on trying to...[Tries to think of what words he's looking for.] encourage and reassure me.

I-- [ Why would she even try to disagree. ] I know you're not Conner, but I mean-- [ What does she mean? She can't just summarize the kind of man Conner was any more than she can deny the similarities between them. ] You should live how you want to live.

What about you? How do you want to live your life?

Hmm. I guess I want to keep doing what I am. I want to be a Titan, I want to help people and save the world. [ How cliche. ] I want to be able to protect the people I love. [ What a life. ]

That sounds like it would get tiring after awhile. I get that doing all of that is important and probably rewarding but what about doing something for yourself?

[championofares]

I do stuff for myself too. I hang out with friends, my mom, and I go shopping too. [ Maybe not as much as 'normal' girls her age, but she's not worried about that. ]

The Titans are my family so even when we're working, it's never so bad because were together. [ Lately things haven't been quite so picture perfect. ]

Sounds like your mun needs to send you somewhere that lets you keep your powers and the Titans will be there. I'd cross my fingers for you but I don't get how that helps anything.

It doesn't matter anyway. My mun is going to do whatever she wants. At least now she's thinking of a place with Wonder Woman and the original Wonder Girl, that's better. [ Cassie doesn't know why she's not saying their real names. It's not like this Superboy can do anything with them. It's just a habit. ]

Think your mun would consider sending you to the same place that I'm going to? If my mun ever gets around to finishing my application. [Shakes his head.]

Maybe. I know she at least considered it.

[ Wouldn't it be cool though? ]

I don't know if I'd cut it in that kind of setting. I'm not exactly warden material. [ At least it's never something she thought about doing. ]

[Given how the well he thinks the two of them have been getting on, he'd agree with the coolness.]

You want to help people and you can hit really hard. Those both seem like good things for a warden.

I don't know... The kind of help some of those people need. I don't know how much I could do. But if it is about keeping them in line? I can do that.

[Looks her over again, but this time instead of checking her out he looks like he is sizing her up. He's starting to get a feel for how powerful he is compared to the metahumans in his world, he's curious over how he compares with people in other worlds.]

I wonder if you could keep me in line. [Smirks and a red aura starts to flicker around his body.]

Show me how hard you can hit, don't worry. I can take it.

I don't know about that... [ She's pretty curious now. ] I'm sure you can take it, but I can't hit you that hard.

The other you was strong enough to kick me through a building, I think you can do better. [Strength wise, she had given him a run for his money. Decides to leave out the part where he dragged her underground and they both got hit by a train. That's how he succeeded in knocking her out.]

Me too. [ She smirks. ]

I'm waiting. [Amps his shield up some. He doubts he's going to stay standing on his feet, so if he goes crashing into something he wants his TT to absorb most of it.]
