watching agents of SHIELD
I'm just glad that Phil is alive. And I hope this whole thing works for him, I really do. He's a great guy, and he's obviously very good at his job.
I don't understand why all the secrecy, but it's Fury's show. And whatever game he's playing is obviously big. [She doesn't necessarily approve, though. She likes Phil - Fury, not so much. In theory.]
Secrets sometimes do more harm than good, though. And I can't imagine this one will stay a secret for long. Not from a bunch of superheroes, most of whom already have giant chips on their shoulders, not to mention the brains, money and technology to hack - well, anything.

As for this secret... I think it will probably stay a secret as long as they don't know there's a secret in the first place. No point looking into something that they have no reasonable suspicion they should be looking at in the first place. Once that changes, though...
Well, it will be interesting.

Well, maybe Agent Coulson.

Except for Phil. Phil is one of ours, and his, well, death was kind of a big deal. It won't stay hidden forever, and when it comes out? Well, I don't envy your boss.

Believe me when I say Director Fury can handle himself. Do you think they'd start putting Agent Coulson back in the field and expect it to stay under the radar? And not have contingencies in place for the eventual response to that information?

I guess I just don't see the point, then, if the secret will come out and they know it to the point of having plans in place to contain the damage? Why try to keep it a secret from the Avengers in the first place?

Regardless, it's not a secret anymore. Even if it's not being shouted from the rooftops.
