watching agents of SHIELD

I'm just glad that Phil is alive. And I hope this whole thing works for him, I really do. He's a great guy, and he's obviously very good at his job.

I don't understand why all the secrecy, but it's Fury's show. And whatever game he's playing is obviously big. [She doesn't necessarily approve, though. She likes Phil - Fury, not so much. In theory.]

Secrets sometimes do more harm than good, though. And I can't imagine this one will stay a secret for long. Not from a bunch of superheroes, most of whom already have giant chips on their shoulders, not to mention the brains, money and technology to hack - well, anything.

Glad you're glad, if that's worth anything.

As for this secret... I think it will probably stay a secret as long as they don't know there's a secret in the first place. No point looking into something that they have no reasonable suspicion they should be looking at in the first place. Once that changes, though...

Well, it will be interesting.

All hell is frequently breaking loose in this job, for one reason or another. It tends to be a matter of balancing which hell currently needs your attention.

Presumably they all have better things to do with their time. None of us are superheroes, after all.

Well, maybe Agent Coulson.

Last time I checked, Phil wasn't a territory you could stick a flag in. A lot of people have a lot of history with Agent Coulson, so I don't think being proprietary is the best tactic.

Believe me when I say Director Fury can handle himself. Do you think they'd start putting Agent Coulson back in the field and expect it to stay under the radar? And not have contingencies in place for the eventual response to that information?

Because at the time it was exactly what was needed to make them become the Avengers.

I suspect there's a reason, and that the answer to that question is above both of our clearances. I suspect in part it was important for Agent Coulson's recovery that he do so without the added stress of other people's expectations.

Regardless, it's not a secret anymore. Even if it's not being shouted from the rooftops.
