It's not that I don't understand the attraction. You squealed like a little girl reading that article describing me as "the only S.H.I.E.L.D. agent with more black belts than Natasha Romanov".

But if you are going to do this, and I don't have any say in the matter, did you really have to pick that username? I made myself very clear on that subject. Numerous times.

I heard somewhere the principle of adaptability being strength. I'm guessing that's what you had in mind with this team?

You know, I'm well aware that all of them are well trained and qualified in their respective fields to do what is necessary to achieve our mission objectives, but a part of my brain continues to refer to them as the children.

There's just a great deal more of applying my fists and feet to people's faces than I thought was going to be necessary. Maybe that's on me; I should have known better, hmm?

I wasn't quite expecting to see so much combat quite this soon either. It's not why I called you on. But you have to admit that, given the makeup of the team, it's probably a better thing to have a pilot that's highly combat rated than one who isn't.

And going off of that premise, you were a logical choice.

Keep an eye on Skye and Agent Ward. I'm actually more concerned about those two than Fitz Simmons. Tech can be dealt with. Personal dynamics are far more nebulous.
