Okay, so we're trying this again? The game with the hugging, I mean? It's okay that you didn't manage it last time, things got really hectic for a bit there, didn't they? Honestly, I was a little overwhelmed too- I didn't expect the reception I got at Death City, but it was really great! I'm glad I got to help so many of them out, even if only a little.
...I kind of miss them all already.
--what do you mean I might not be missing one of them for long? Mun?
Mun what are you up to?

Mun what are you up to?

[Gosh are you kidding she doesn't even have to guess. Instead she just cuddles back with a laugh.]
Hi!

[Her tail wags harder. Always nice to see friends again! Her tilts her head a bit. Rekindleme huh?]
no subject
[She tilts her head a moment, deciphers, and-]
Oh, the game? Yeah it sounds really cute- and way more my speed than a war, honestly...

[Again, a nod. Much more for a Goddess of Love...]

It's sad- they had to make a mistake that terrible... But at least maybe now they'll understand that their methods aren't helping anyone.

[Hey look Cupid, it's going to be your greatest challenge in that particular game]
You will deal with it just as the rest of us are forced to. Or not. So long as you stay out of my way, I do not care what you do.
no subject
[Cupid likes a challenge!]
Aww, come on- we're supposed to help each other there, aren't we? I think staying out of your way is probably the exact opposite of what I should do.
no subject
[Yeah, that response is practically growled.]

I doubt you will be one of them.

[HER ENTIRE CULTURE is about fighting, Cupid. You should see how courtship works. Y'know, if you're in the mood to horrify yourself.]
no subject
Yeah. It's like that.]
Why is it idiocy? So not everyone believes in making everything into a battle. People can have differing philosophies and still get along.

The mundane has also shared who you are and what you do. And should you ever point one of those wretched arrows my way, I swear to you that your bow isn't the only thing I shall enjoy breaking.
[Aaand she makes it a point to crack the knuckles on all four hands, just to be sure Cupid gets what she means.]
no subject
[Upset Cupid is upset and not going to take that laying down.]
Just because someone can't fight doesn't mean they don't have their own strengths, their own way of being capable of helping themselves or others. So don't act so superior just because the only way you can handle things is by breaking them. It's not going to scare me, and it's not going to make you right.
[Because Cupid isn't scared of someone who seems like they can only do that and nothing more.]
The bow isn't all that necessary anymore- but even if I were going to use it, I don't think I'd wish someone so unpleasant on anyone without being absolutely sure they could handle it.

Not being capable of performing admirably in combat is absolutely weakness. You have confused strength with usefulness. They, at least, merit an exception to the rule, as they fulfill a useful purpose to compensate for their...other failings.
no subject
[Because she's never heard anyone call it that before, and she's seen her fair share of freakouts on the subject.]
But fine, think what you want. It's not my job to make you realize how wrong you are.
no subject
[Which might come as a huge surprise to anyone who knows her from the game, but there you go.]
But what that thing does is not love. No one must prove their worth, or demonstrate their suitability as a mate, they must only get shot with one of those horrible arrows.
It is not love, it is cheating.
no subject
[Cupid raises an eyebrow in mild surprise- after all, it's not like she doesn't see where she's coming from.]
But I feel you- everyone deserves to feel like the person they end up with is someone they deserve and more importantly, someone who deserves them. But every once in a while, people do need a little help in order to get things done- that's what I do. I help people get things rolling or patch things up. I don't just run around shooting people with love arrows all... helter-skelter.
...well. Not on purpose, at least.

I mean, I don't want to interrupt, but I think you'd be alright. Most everyone there's pretty nice, so they'll probably feel the same way. So long as you're a good person, nothing else really matters.
Besides, you wouldn't even wind up the first friend of mine to have an evil parent. So in my case, even that's not really new territory.
