I'd rather be back home than participating in whatever it is you think you're planning. Which ... at the risk of sounding like Obi-Wan, is probably not as fun as you think it is. Okay. So that may sound completely like Obi-Wan and his inability to have fun. But that's beside the point.

As much as I love adventure, there are people who need me and I can't afford to spend all my time fooling around. But if I am ever going to get some down-time, it better be back on Coruscant.

You know, with the people I care about.

This might get me Force choked, but the Jedi of your era were terrifying. All that godlike power and no checks on it, no connection to the people they claimed to serve. They were so...isolated, joyless. I don't even want to think about what that might be like.

The Jedi follow guidelines to make sure we don't abuse our powers ... We work to protect people, not hurt them. And not every Jedi is joyless.

What kind of guidelines? I've heard of your code and all, and I guess I can understand the logic behind some of it. You don't want someone who can TK a starship and carrying weapons capable of melting titanium to lose their temper.

[Careful. Going to reveal yourself as WAY too much of a fanboy...just like every OTHER computer programmer alive]

On the other hand, being taken from your family when you're too small to know what's going on and never seeing them again and being forbidden even close friendships is...well...It'd make it hard to understand or relate to how most people live, and that's also kinda dangerous.

Sorry...I guess the whole idea on how to handle power and how to do the right thing with it has been on my mind lately.

If you grow a beard, Master, I'll shave it off for you in your sleep.
