I don't think trying to persuade them is going to work.

I've been trying to talk mun-san into using one of his other people. I find it compelling how stubborn he is.

I'm merely offering her some advice. Though listening seems to be one of her weaker points.

There is a difference. If I were persuading her, then I'd have the expectation that she'd actually do something. On the other hand, advice is merely advice, with no expectation.
