[That's as it should be, of course, and a large part of why Sakuya's employment is so stable - that, and the fact that Remilia knows the maid's words will be reliable when she needs them.]

[ A bit of a sigh, though Sakuya has a warm smile on her face. A happy Remilia, even for the wrong reasons, is perfectly fine with her. ]

You'll have Reimu there with you as well, so you can always rely on her if you need anything.

[The reprimand has just a hint of steel in it, but she chuckles. She knows that Sakuya only speaks from devotion, and isn't likely to be entirely serious, but she doesn't appreciate the insinuation.

She arches an eyebrow at that remark, turning to fix Sakuya more firmly with a red stare.]

But a servant of a lady of my stature is there.

[She nods cheerily, weaving her fingers together and peering over them at the human.]

[ Sakuya takes it in stride. She sometimes oversteps her bounds, treating her Mistress like a child. But she knows that Remilia wouldn't hold it against her for long. ]

No, the city I am stuck in, Ariel, is... [ She's blushing now. ] ..not for you, ojousama. [ Except, she should know, that saying that is only going to make Remilia more curious. ]

[ As much as Reimu complains and seems to dislike Remilia...she doesn't hate the girl at all. And she's actually secretly okay with her hanging out at her shrine. ]

I wish I could have my own maid. You're lucky that she decides to follow you around.

[The feeling is, in fact, mutual. If nothing else, Reimu is an amusement, and regardless of her complaints about the location, Remilia enjoys the semi-regular gatherings more than just about anything she gets to do in Gensokyo. They're different.]

It's not luck, it's status. High blood just calls to certain people who are smart enough to know their place.

[She accepts the apology with a regal nod, and straightens up, her poise allowing her to stare down at Sakuya from where she's seated. No, she's hardly going to hold that against the human, especially not when something else is being held out of her reach.]

...You've got so much blood in your face, Sakuya. It doesn't fit you very well.

[She declares this bluntly.]

[ That stare makes Sakuya nearly weak at the knees. That charisma, that stance over her, it makes Sakuya devote herself to Remilia every time she sees it. ]

[ She tries to hide it, but that's easier said than done, even for a well disciplined maid like Sakuya. ]

They are difficult sometimes, to get into but the sort of relationships you gain are quite...unique.

[ Sakuya nearly breathes a sigh of relief, not having to explain the sort of things she and Meiling had gotten up to. ]

[ Even though Reimu herself has an important bloodline, a line strong enough to be the keepers of the Hakurei Border, which Remilia and the other youkai benefit greatly from. ]

If only all the youkai in Gensokyo knew their place.
