canon is "the riches"

You are not ready for this. You aren't even near ready for this. You've still got a list as long as your arm of things that need to happen before you can afford to start worrying about me, so why are you--

Yes, nice to know you do have a plan. "X" might mark the spot, but it doesn't narrow things down much these days. Popular letter. But that's okay. I am okay with that. I've got more than enough commitments to worry about already without adding on any others. The last thing I... Look, even better idea: forget about it entirely. How about that? Just close the relevant windows and we'll be on our way.

Shit.

A month isn't very long. It'll be on you before you know it, like a shark or something.

But maybe somebody else will come by in that time and you'll go on the back burner. It can happen.

You ever heard of counting your chickens before they hatch? That's bad. It's, like, really bad.

Counting on much of anything around here is usually a bad idea. You could count, like, five months til they could do anything and then boom. Five days, everything's done, you're screwed.

Maybe you'll get your two months to accept it, sure. But, like, the funny thing about inevitability? It's not always when your time limit frames it as.

Like, okay, everyone knows they're gonna die. And people like to think that they'll be really old and wrinkly and stuff, but then sometimes people die really young for no reason at all. Bam. Inevitable outcome, just before you expected it.

The more you worry, though, the more they like you. And want to do things with you. And they're not always good things.
