on 3 continuously active years;
...Goodness. This is already embarrassing enough as is, you know. I'm very flattered that you consider today such an important date, and three whole years certainly is a long period of time, but you really don't have to be so worked up because of just that. Your friends must tire of your ramblings too, and you do realize what this means when I'm the one who tells you that? [...Right, some of us ARE aware of our expositioning tendencies...] So please, calm down and focus on what we already have on our plate. Things are quite hectic in that town, we've both still got a lot of planning to do and see through.
That said, I am grateful for everything. It's been quite the experience, going from one terrible town to an even worse one, haha. [It sounds better when you put it lightly...] There has been so many unanticipated changes, and while I think it's too forward of you to claim "it was all for the better", I suppose I can't quite deny it's been some of the most fun times I've had, even considering my stay in Japan spent with Tohno-kun and his friends. I do wonder sometimes how they're doing now, but things certainly are fine the way they are. Another 'me' must be actively watching over them somewhere, right? These alternate universes and differing dimensions can be quite practical too, when you think about it. Knowing that does put me at ease, but I can't say I care to know how the Second Magic works, nonetheless.
Aha, but let's cut it short here. We have lots of important things ["and people"] to get back to, this is just a small nod of acknowledgement towards all the time we've spent together. Well then, I'll look forward to the future with you too, miss mun. God knows where we may be this time next year, hm?

[she is so upset
SO UPSET]
Besides, it's still a lot of progress. You could spend a few more centuries back home and you wouldn't have been happier than a single year away from it, can you really deny that?
no subject
To be honest, I could say with certainty that it would be less eventful, but things went somewhat decently for me back home, you know? [FOR A WHILE anyway...]
no subject
[AKA 'wiping off blood' (that's not hers), at least she's self-aware of her own situation...]
That's just because you grew complacent with a position that was actually quite poor, in reality. Change can be surprisingly healthy, people with long lifespans often tend to forget.
no subject
You'll need a towel for that and I haven't any to spare, so I suppose you'll just need to deal with looking as insane as the rest of us. [good job both of them.] Or depending on the state we're all in when we meet up, I suppose a bit of blood would hardly stand out at all, yes?
[not that that's ANYTHING TO BE PROUD OF...] Change is overrated, I'd say, but it may have been somewhat necessary this time.
no subject
You don't need to be so aloof still, haha. I won't make fun of you for it! I'm not the one who can go "I told you so", too.
no subject
God knows it'd be better for what pride I have left if we were to meet up in the West. ...Why didn't you stay behind, anyway? [loser ascends to Super Aloof Level 200: avoid all implications that he is purposely being aloof.]
no subject
[and at that her chipper expression just
it stays there, but to the observant/those who knew her best, it sure is looking... a little flat...]
I'm not suited for desk work. I'm still a field agent, when it comes down to it.
[n_n
there is nothing strained about that smile
at all
(because staying in haven west would totally be like having a desk job, RIGHT...)]
no subject
and desk job DESK JOB tell that to pyramid head!!] My, the imbalance did have to go somewhere, didn't it?
no subject
[pyramid head would totally look dashing in an office tie, don't even lie to yourself]
no subject
nice try captain.] Well, at least the time to endure is almost over. That's one thing to feel some vague semblance of gratitude for, I suppose. ...Things will be a little bland after a mess that large, don't you think? [charles no]
no subject
Oh, not at all. If anything, it's about time things calm down. I have my own plans I'd like to execute smoothly within the next few months, I'd be happy for the downtime to return. Don't you miss tea and sweets too, at least a little?
no subject
I miss having a functional hand more, to be honest, but that would be a nice bonus. The food in the cafeteria there is absolutely disgusting.
no subject
That may still take a while, but if God favors us, maybe you could get a change of taste before we manage to all return to the west.
...Oh, and please don't bite the messenger, okay?
no subject
Wouldn't that be a true change of taste, though? I've had your food so often that even a few months away from it isn't a truly large break, but it's been aaages since I've last eaten anything Spanish. [CHARLES.]
no subject
No, blood is blood. Even if that's your usual diet, haven't you grown sick of its smell and taste, being cooped up in that dreary laboratory where it must've permeated for weeks on end? Besides, that's actually my first time making something of this sort, you've only had my baked goods and homemade chocolate back in Mayfield.
no subject
To be honest, it's sort of become the white noise of smell to me. [but then PERKING UP because what, what, something that isn't a sweet??] ...Should I even bother asking?
no subject
That's still awful. [says the person who will may or may not be covered in blood by the time they meet up, oops. SHE HASN'T SMILED IN A WEEK...]
Oh, you haven't heard already? [Across the 4th wall and all...] I mean, it's still something sweet. It's for you, after all, there's just the size constraint since I can't burden someone with a parcel too big.
no subject
also the look he gives basically says isn't it nice to get a break from smiling 24/7 though??]
I haven't, actually, because the idiot on the other side of the fourth wall doesn't know what it is either. But either way, I'll be content with anything that isn't porridge.
no subject
hey charles
remember the first time she srs faced at you
REMEMBER]
Oh, I wasn't aware. Would you both like to keep it as a surprise? You're a smart boy though, even if you shouldn't be so rude to your mundane. The process of elimination itself ought to be easy to rationalize, nonetheless.
no subject
no though why would he want to remember that go away don't ruin THE MOMENT!!!1]
You say that as though the process of elimination could be used against someone as irrational as you. Do you not recall how suspicious I was when you gave me that box of chocolates? [his reaction to everything Ciel gives him that isn't in plain view immediately tbh...] Anyway, I'd like it to be a surprise and that's what matters.
no subject
SO HE COULD PROPERLY GAUGE WHAT IT REALLY MEANS WHEN CIEL DOESN'T SMILE FOR A WEEK?? sheesh fine]
I'm perfectly rational, it's your short temper and senselessly massive paranoia that are irrational things. It's been over a year and a half since, Charles, plus you shouldn't be furious at me anymore once it finally reaches you. ...Ah, I won't say anything in that case, but on a scale of 0 to 10 with 10 being the most, how much would you still want to kill me the next time we really meet?
[perfectly normal questions to ask casually, tbh]
no subject
he'll just go back to pretending he doesn't know the meaning then!! more important things to be miffed about like such wrongful accusations. senselessly massive paranoia and short temper, gosh]
I want to bump it to a five just for hearing such a moronic question but in all honesty, I'd peg it a one. [sighs like this is a terrible thing...] I have to save the lion's share of my murderous intent for Kite, sadly.
no subject
ahaha... she missed this =3= his snappish tsun is going to have her cup a cheek with one hand and chuckle daintily, perfectly natural response surely]
Aha, you've really grown~ There's a really big line of angry mob waiting for that doctor though, isn't there? Are you sure you don't want to save your strength for something more productive?
[killing isn't productive ok.
so what if this is sort of hypocritical.]
no subject
what kind of natural response is that though wow AND WHAT KIND OF HYPOCRISY IS THAT!!]
There isn't anything more productive than grinding his face to the bone against the pavement. I'll wait my turn if I must but I'll be vying for a spot close to the front.
no subject
normal ones??]
He'll just regenerate, plus staying by the side of the people you care about should definitely have priority over that. [small sigh!] Although I suppose it would be bad to ask for too much, patience was never really your suit.
