On attempting to find a game...
What's this "attempting", Ms. Mun? Who wouldn't want lil ol' me in their game, hm? Clearly you just ain't looking hard enough.
Not that I blame you any, mind. I know you've been canon reviewing and you're certainly not going to hear me complaining about the many... many wonderful shots of Jason Stackhouse's, erm, "assets".

Mr. Newlin.
[His tone is measured and calm, as it ever was. But there is a tiny, predatory cant to his head.]

Why, hello Godric! Its been quite a while hasn't it? I haven't seen you since, uh... that nasty bit of business at the Fellowship of the Sun. That's all... water under the bridge, right?

I don't believe in holding grudges, Mr. Newlin.
[He inclines his head in a brief nod of acknowledgement.]
You are one of us, now. How did it happen?

I was coming home from a prayer group meeting when I was grabbed from behind and... Well. You can guess the rest. I woke up with a woman I didn't recognize and she took off before I could ask her anything. She didn't tell me her name, what I was supposed to do, nothing. Nice enough to leave me a four pack of Tru Blood, but that was it.
[Partial lies wrapped in half-truths and sweetened with honesty. Closer to the truth than what he'd told Jason, but still glossing over a couple of details. After a pause, he ventured some more truths, felt like he practically owed it to Godric.]
Couple nights after that--I don't know why they waited, maybe wanted to see if I'd off myself, I don't know--I started working with the Authority and have been ever since.

Godric tilts his head. Newlin is... practiced, but he is young.]
No doubt they expected your change of heart to influence the political and social climate.
[There is someone else's hand at work there, also. A powerplay. Politics. He never did enjoy them.]
